Fun filled four days by jerryeck973

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

The ship was beautiful and kept immaculately clean- the whole crew and staff

were helpful and very friendly. Fun entertainment- especially liked the comedian and Mo5iac. One suggestion, some of the restaurants available for my time dining had very short hours, so perhaps those could be extended- Really had an enjoyable time and would recommend this cruise for anyone who is looking for a shorter cruise.

Breathtaking... by elisahines

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

I would definitely recommend Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas to family and friends. Our entire experience was great...this was our first cruise and Ms. Mims-May was very proffessional and provided above excellent service.  The ship was beautiful...our cabin was so comfortable and the view from our balcony will be etched in our memories forever...everything was breathtaking.  The food was delicious and plentiful...we really enjoyed the performances and the late night comdey show ....Spectra's Cabaret was simply amazing!  We had so much fun going to the clubs, the movies and the shopping...it was truly a memorable experience...and to top it off we got to hang out in Beautiful Bermuda...Royal Carribean Anthem of the Seas  totally exceeded our expectations....

The good the bad and the ugly by Mkruczy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

Relaxing in the solarium and the dining experience at Chops and Jamies were highlights of our trip.  We were pleasantly surprised with our stateroom as well. Less attractive were all of the added expenses for those special meals, wine and alcohol, Johnny Rockets line was long and staff too small to handle 3 o'clock crowd when Windjammer closed.  Gone is the personalized service for a cruiser with status.  The public address system messages at 4AM were less than appreciated asking passengers to go the customer service desk to settle an account.  My husband slipped on the wet floor in the solarium and only a fellow passenger came to his aid.  He was cut and bruised but received no sympathy from the staff. Likewise, we booked a shore excursion on a mini bus which was involved in a traffic accident while we were on board delaying us for close to an hour sitting in that bus.  The shops though elegant were out of the league of most passengers.  More affordable shops might draw more shoppers.  BTW, it took FOREVER to get a drink from the Schooner!!!  And I mean FOREVER!

Nice short cruise by tperrone1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

Our favorite part was the entertainment and the exceptional service. The food could be a little more creative and exotic, otherwise it was a great trip.

First time cruiser impressed by the ship and services. by Cruiser48635749

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

As a first time cruiser I had no expectations.  Though having been on boats before I did expect small spaces for our living quarters.  I couldn't have been more mistaken!  The room was better appointed than most hotel rooms that I have stayed in.  I was also very impressed with the assistance provided by the dining staff as I was recovering from radiation treatment to my throat and needed special accommodation  of soft foods while I was traveling.  The staff more than delivered on my requests and made my trip as comfortable as possible while I was getting through a difficult stage of my life.  I could not have made the trip without them.  Thank you to the crew of the Anthem of the Seas!

Anthem was Ok by robincambria

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

The Anthem of the Seas was Ok - I was expecting so much more for the price. Even the specialty restaurants were too expensive.  I'm not a cheap person, but I've been on other cruise lines and the weren't even close to these prices.

The facilities were wonderful, loved the Solarium, Indoor pool and Bumper Cars!!

Entertainment was good

Food was ok.

Worst part of the cruise was the Buffet closed at 9pm and if you wanted to eat anything after 9pm you had a choice of complimentary Hot Dogs at the Aft of the boat or Pizza and finger sandwiches in the center of the boat - these were the only two places to get food 24 hours a day and nothing healthy to eat.  Of course there were plenty of places you could "BUY" food. Turned me off to this cruise -

Would not go again.

Bermuda with friends by delano34

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

Ship is very nice, but just too many people. Long lines for everything. Anytime dining does not really mean anytime like on other cruises we have taken. You must make reservations before you even get on this ship. Food is good but not great. Bermuda was wonderful. Overall we had a great time, but will not book on this ship again.

Five Stars! by Cruiser59324520

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

Departing NY harbor past skyline and Statue of Liberty, sailing under Verranzano Narrows Bridge with only 12' of clearance, then plunging into a world of exquisite service, beautiful and beautifully whimsical art at every turn, docking in the sparkling clean waters of Bermuda.....  All quite wonderful

Great ship full of amenities by Hiltop

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

My favorite part of the cruise was all the activities the ship had to offer. I tried almost all of them.  For a big ship with a lot of people, it didn't seem crowded. We also enjoyed the over night stay at the island. It allowed plenty of time to see the destination. One improvement would be to improve the club experience on the ship, the dj was not the best at giving the crowd what they want.

fantastic cruise by DebSUP44

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

I went on this cruise because it was a family celebration, and was skeptical about how much I would actually enjoy it. I had a fabulous time. I was pleasantly surprised at how great the shows on the ship were. I also really liked how easy it was to get on and off the ship when in Bermuda.

5 Nights Bermuda cruise by alexmaniam

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

In general cruise was very good. We are taking cruises every couple of the years and Royal Caribbean was on the top of the list until this last cruise. Food in general dinning was so so, we went one time to the specialty restaurants and is was nothing exceptional. Making reservations was a pain, could not get the time we wanted from home, but when came on board it was available, the same with the shows, to make reservations not a lot of available, but when you stand n the line without reservation - you can get in. So time was spend in lines instead of relax. Maybe it is attributes to the huge ship.

Overall staff service needs improvement by stevo434

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

Ship was newer and offered more amenities than Independence of the Sea, but overall service and attitude of staff was more positive on IOS.  Need better organization/communication for signing up for on board activities and departures.  Sushi class was fun (should offer better food to learn with).  Cupcake class was disappointing - not too organized nor enthusiatic by staff including main chef (man).   Food in main dining room and Windjammer was better on IOS.

Too much upselling on board by jmd82336588

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

The ship was very nice, service very good, food just average...sometimes less than average  (except for the specialty restaurant called "Wonderland" which was absolutely phenomenal), entertainment very mediocre, but the real downside was all the on-board hawking and peddling.  I guess that is the nature of cruising these days...they make the cruise itself fairly affordable, then make every nice thing an extra charge.  Waiters even have to approach you at dinner to try to sell things like galley tours, wine tastings, and the like....a real nuisance.

It should be called Awesome of the Seas! by katelost4ever

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

My favorite part of the cruise was the Royal treatment we were given! My mother is elderly, but young at heart. She said she felt like a queen throughout the entire cruise. The staff is so accommodating to everyone's needs. That was worth it's weight in gold. I would go on that beautiful vessel again in a heartbeat! We were both sad to bid farewell. We will be repeat customers for sure!

Had a wonderful time! by tmk1014

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

My Husband and I wanted to try a "bigger" ship.  The Anthem of the seas is a fairly new ship with all the latest technology.  We love Bermuda so it was a match!  The shows were very good!  We loved the Las Vegas Tenors and "We will Rock You" shows.  We always had something to do and we had a great time even though the weather could have been better.  I would recommend this ship for your cruise!!

Our only suggestion is to have listed where the Freestyle machines are located.  It took us 2 days of a five day cruise to locate them.  Put them in your Itinerary that you publish daily for your guests.  I am sure it will be appreciated!

Thanks for a great vacation!

Nothing like we expected.... by jadasmith

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

The cloudy weather and rough seas caused us to stay inside, we had severe motion sickness on our last day and others must have as well because barf bags were made available near the elevator lobbies. Beds were extremely uncomfortable and 5 days later my body is still achy! Food wasn't that great and outside of late night shows (the best part of our cruise), there really wasn't much to do inside during the day but stay in bed. We were just excited to leave the ship as we were to get on - this was our first and last cruise.

Some rough seas but still good by rfhunlimit

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

As usual royal Caribbean did not disappoint. This is the first time I have driven to the ship and the embarking was flawless. Once on the ship the vacation begun and most things went well. I must say the staff did seem a bit overwhelmed by the volume at times, but for the most part they were well prepared and equipped. The food was good the shows were excellent and as usual the excursions were over priced. Overall I had a great experience.  The disembarking was not as smooth as the embarking but with a little patience we got through it.
