Not happy at all with the buffet dining area, it was a dirty, filthy place and spoke to Head Waiters Sergii Bialik, Mr. Malcolm and Manager Mr Bulent and pointed out the dirty areas that were there for several days and was reassured it would be cleaner, however same areas still covered with food, finger prints and just down right filthy. A passenger also addressed the port health dept when they came aboard to clear us for the island and still nothing was corrected. Never will go on this ship again. Poor Management and I told him that on the last day and his reply was I've been on this ship for 2 wks and working on improvement, however I did not see much in my 12 day cruise. Most disappointing cruise I have ever taken with Royal Caribbean. Anthem of the Seas needs a good santitizing!!!!!

only 2 shows with the dance/singing cast, very disappointed and the musical entertainment in the show area at the back of the ship was entirely too loud and had to leave the show on both occasions, was not impressed at all with entertainment

Ship areas especially the buffet dining area was absolutely disgusting and filthy, dirty and needs to be cleaned and santitized. Never seen ship upkeep/cleaning during my cruise.

Enjoyed the view but will never book a room in the front of ship again, too much noise from the waves hitting the ship and did not get much rest and learned from my mistake

The ship did not notify passengers that the French side was on strike and we could not go to orient beach via taxi and all excursions were diverted from that side of the island
Went to the beach and there was entirely too many people at the port with 4to5 ships and the cab driver never came back to get us and had to pickup a cab on our own
Sorry you experienced this. I was on the Anthem in November and I have to say everything was just great. Did not encounter any problems about cleanliness, or the food. The crew were all friendly and I had a wonderful time.
I've read many reviews on different forums stating that the captain did let the cruisers know about the problems on st maarten. All excursions to the French side were canceled. You also can't expect to go to a port and be the only ship. Its peak cruise season right now. I've never seen a dirty dining area on a Royal Caribbean ship.
I honestly question the accuracy of dining area complaints. Ever ship of theirs I have been on has been spotless. It would be very stupid to not keep it clean. But there is nothing to stop someone from claiming otherwise.
I have to admit that I was not a fan of the Anthem Buffett but it definitely was not filthy and if you had complained, I’m sure they would have done the utmost to rectify it! Which cruise was you on or was you actually not on the Anthem🧐?
Sounds like cruising isn’t for you. We’ve been on multiple cruises and never seen anything we would consider reporting to the health department. We have seen a few dishes left sitting on tables, but unless something was drastically different than we have seen, or you are a germaphobe, the cleanliness complaint seems over the top.
