Review summary

Love cruising, love Anthem of the Seas, great ship. Love the Caribbean, it was a wonderful cruise, we had an amazing time. Love the sea days, so much to do on the ship. Enjoy the beach time rather than excursions everyday, since last year we did excursions everyday. Barbados and Antigua are our favorite ports so far. Cruising out of Bayonne is so easy, it is unbelievable how quickly and efficiently they get you on and off the ship. We will continue to cruise from Bayonne

Main dining room was slow for service, we only ate there twice. We did 5 night specialty dining, so 2 nights Jamie's and 3 nights Chops, and both were absolutely fabulous, food and service both. We had dinner one night in solarium, that also was excellent. Buffet was good for breakfast and lunch, two 70 was very good and we snacked on alot of pizza. Also had some snacks at the pub a few different times while enjoying drinks, which were very good as well, but be are additional charge, but minimal.

Onboard Activities

Activities lacked a little in what interests us, but that doesn't mean there were not activities. There is plenty to do, but I am a pool and hot tub girl, so I spend alot of my time relaxing there

The shows we did attend were great. We really like the comedy shows and the other shows that the cruise director puts together

Service and Staff

Our room steward, Bawa, was fabulous. Also, Duvall who was a room steward on our deck was very friendly and made conversation with us everyday. The bartenders, especially in the pub, were the best ever, Pankaj, Tony, Himantsu, Jose and Kosantyan. Overall, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful.

Love the cabin. Very spacious for a balcony, lots of storage. Only drawback for me, more movement because back of ship. Didn't bother my boyfriend any, I used a seaband and ear patch just in case.

Ship tip

Definitely try the solarium for dinner. Don't miss the adult comedy show 😂, all staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful

Love Antigua!!! Fabulous port. Did catamaran excursion. It was exceptional!!!! Excellence of Antigua was the name of the catamaran.

Castries, St. Lucia

Disappointing but only because we did the West coast catamaran excursion and we were very disappointed with the excursion. The beach that we went to was ok. Looked forward to a swim in Marigot Bay like the excursion stated, but that didn't happen. Would love to go back to St Lucia but see more of it by land next time

Bridgetown, Barbados

Absolutely the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. We spent the day at the boatyard. Took a taxi from the pier for $5 each, the cost for the boatyard $25 person included a welcome drink, 2 chairs and 1 umbrella, bathrooms and changing rooms, a snorkel trip to see the turtles, which you have to sign up for right away because it is limited space, and a shuttle back to the ship. Had a wonderful time, and loved hanging at the beach for the day. Highly recommend the boatyard in Barbados

Basseterre, St. Kitts

Took a taxi to cochleshell beach. Taxi driver stopped so we could take some great pictures of the sea and ocean. I also got some pictures holding a 🐒 monkey, for $10 the man took several pictures. Spent a few hours at the beach. It was ok, not the greatest beach, but the view was beautiful

We were on the same sailing. We absolutely loved the ports and sea days. It was perfect. I’m so disappointed to hear you didn’t like St. Lucia because of the excursion. It was my favorite port. I hope you get a chance to go back and experience it a different way. I can’t say enough good things about this particular cruise. We plan to do it again!

Glad you enjoyed. We went on the Anthem end of Sept and had a great time. We are a little older and my husband uses a cane, we came to the conclusion that for us we prefer a ship a little smaller.
