Review summary

WiFi very slow kept disconnecting. Due to propeller issue which effected stability. I was sick for 3 days. Soda machines on promenade didn't work for at least 3 days. I was very disappointed this Cruise.

Excursion was not what we expected. Definitely not worth what we paid. Had to pay for transportation $7.00 per person each way. No snorkel equipment.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

It was OK but.... When cruise was booked I booked St Kitt. Due to propeller issue it was replaced with San Juan. Royalcaribbean gave us the option up until August 8th to cancel and get a full refund. But at that point our flights were booked our hotel was booked and our vacations were booked so we had to go on this Cruise. No discount was offered for them changing our itinerary.

The azipod problem is slowing the ship down some. It doesn't affect rocking of the ship so that's not why you were sick. They have stabilizers for when ocean is rough. We loved Allure and found nothing lacking in our cruise.

Wow...been on the Allure twice and LOVED it. So much that we are looking to book on it again. Maybe it is where it is scheduled for dry dock very soon...???

Sounds like cruising may not be for you. Mechanical, weather and other issues can, and do, cause missed ports and / or itinerary changes. If a specific port is of importance, a good travel policy that will reimburse you for a missed port is a good investment. As far as motion sickness, there are several options that work for most people - sea bands wrist bands, Dramamine, Bonine, ginger capsules, patches, etc.
