Excellent Cruise! by kittypicardo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

What a wonderful cruise! The staff on board the Adventures Of The Sea are wonderful!! The only disappointment I had was, there needs to be at least one more snack shop. The only one they had on the ship offered the same thing everyday and a couple of times the sandwiches were soggy!

Exactly what I was expecting by AngelSBrown

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

I've cruised before.  I've been on Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas.  That ship is basically the same as Adventure of the Seas.

I always get a balcony stateroom.  The room was as expected and I love and highly recommend getting a balcony.

Everything was nice and clean inside and outside of the stateroom.  The pools are saltwater and could have used a bit more filtering in my opinion.

You can stay busy on the ship and you can eat all day long.  The best food is the dinner food; including the dining room and the specialty restaurant.  I would say do at least 1 night in the specialty restaurant.

This itinerary was amazing and there are things to do even if you don't book an excursion.

Busy but Fun by sunnyitalian

Loved this itinerary with so many different stops. The ships get into port by 8am and you don't have to be back on the ship till 5:30 pm. All the islands are different with many different things to do. It was non-stop fun!! and I loved every minute of it.

Mostly a good time by pschwartz34

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

We had an excellent time and the service was pretty good overall.   A few areas for improvement:

1. We couldn't get information on when formal nights were or what the themes were in advance, so that made it hard to know to bring 70's clothes as an example.

2.  We were in a Grand Suite, and we were supposed to get the dinner menu but only got this on the first night (it changes every day).

The ports make the trip! by freemanmisty

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

on this particular cruise, being in port for 5 full days on 5 different islands is awesome! You don't spend much time on the ship, but the excursions and ports of call are amazing! The food onboard, which is all you are really onboard to do...eat and sleep...was fantastic and the rooms are comfortable. The comedians were funny and the casino was a blast, but we didn't really care for any of the other evening entertainment.

Lovely Cruise and More! by JohnnyMI

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Our trip started out a few nights in San Juan Puerto Rico where we enjoyed amazing warm waters and enjoyable beaches.  Old Town is the place to tour and really loved walking around and talking with locals and finding those places to eat more locals than tourists go.  The cruise was excellent, the only part I really do not like is on RCCL, they should allow people to sit and relax more during the boat drill, as it was way longer than normal and not as organized as I've seen in the past.  That's about my only complaint, as the remainder of the cruise was very fun, lots to do!  St. Thomas and St. Kitts are favorites for sure, Aruba was very fun, hot and dry.  Every Island offers something to do no matter what you enjoy, the important part of taking a cruise is doing thing your own way when you want.

Most wonderful! by luziana73

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

San Juan has to be the most beautiful port to sail out of.  We have sailed the AOTS from San Juan previously, and the sailaway at night is just breathtaking.  We loved our itinerary, the ship was top notch, service was great, no issues whatsoever.  Just a few details of our trip, if you are interested:

*  Stayed in SJ the night before at the Acacia hotel - nice boutique hotel just a few feet from the ocean.  We could see it from our balcony.

*  Sunday in St. Thomas, we decided to walk to the cathedral for mass.  A verrry long walk, but glad we did it.  Took a shuttle back, though!  Some shops were closed on Sunday, but we always enjoy walking around.

*  St. Kitts - had never been here before so took an island tour.  Loved it!

*  Aruba - We walked around town all day.  Took the free trolley that we thought would bring us around a bit, only to be dropped off about six blocks from where we had gotten on.  No biggie, but you might want to ask about this first.  Since we were here at night, we took the sunset cruise.  Beautiful!  It was on a catamaran, booked through RC, and was very relaxing.  Recommend!!

*  Curacao - Had to buy cheese here!  Just walked around.  The swinging bridge was out for maintenance, so we had to ferry across.  Love the iconic, brightly colored buildings along the waterfront.

*  Upon return, we stayed at the Chateau Cervantes in Old San Juan and this was within walking distance of everything.  We arrived at the hotel at about 7:30 am but couldn't check in until 3, so they held our luggage while we explored.  Visited the nearby fort (interesting!!!!), walked the cobblestone streets, ate pastries, walked along the waterfront.  Love San Juan!!  In fact, we booked another cruise for September on the Oasis and SJ is a port of call so we are excited to go back.

Overall, one of our favorite cruises, although all on RC have been wonderful.  Two more booked for 2016!

overall a good cruise by kyle8125

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

the ship was very nice and the staff was very friendly & helpful. the itinerary was excellent. ok, here it comes, BUT hot water in our room was spotty at best. the first 3 days we had none, then hit or miss after. have sailed on royal caribbean twice before and always enjoyed the food. not this time. way too much frozen processed food. on the dinner menu it stated " all our meals are prepared from scratch by our chefs". sorry, but frozen food that i can find at my local grocery store is not food cooked from scratch. major disappointment. tater tots for breakfast are called hash browns, really? pork sausages are banquet brown 'n serve, a buck and change at the grocery store. except for substandard food the cruise is recommended.

Fantastic Cruise by jessiedwong

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Great cruise.  Food was excellent, staff friendly and helpful.  Ice show and ballroom dancing professionals were excellent.  Ensemble dancers were meh.  Orchestra was very good. The ship excursions were horribly overpriced.  Was tired of getting hustled by the cruise on jewelry shopping at every opportunity.

Islands were great.  Saint Lucia was the best by far.

Todo excelente, a escepcion de las bebidas aguadas incluyendo el café. Si quieres beber bien incluyendo alcohol tienes que pagar casi lo que se pago por el crucero. Mejor es ir a Las Vegas y comprar buffets todos los dias.

Excellent cruise. Owners suite was beautiful. Food and service was excellent. Concierge was extremely helpful in all aspects of her job. I had a medical issue that required a consult stateside with my doctor. She made the arrangements for a phone call to be put through to make that happen.

Island Hopping by royforkum

Staff on this cruise was top notch, the ports were beautiful. The food was good and the drinks were cold. The only downside for my group was there was a SERIOUS lack of music around the pool deck. I would give this cruise an overall score of 8.75 out of 10

Pools & Hot Tubs were nice, lots of room on pool decks for people that smoke like my self & other places on the Ship. Nightly shows every night and the Ice Show is Awesome & The Quest game is the most funniest stuff, you must not miss this one. Comedy shows were good, Great Cruise!!

Cruise by bribri1310

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

It was overall a very good cruise, the staff was very friendly and the ship itself was well kept. The only things I don't like are that the buffet has certain hours, so when you get back on the ship, you have time to take a small nap but then have to get up to make sure you don't miss the buffet. We only ate there as we did not want to do the assigned dinner in the dining room and because we brought food back to our balcony and relaxed. Other than that, it was great.
