Exceptional Cruise Experience! by KayeCouture

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The childcare program was fantastic. My daughter was in Aquanauts and she looked forward to going to the Kids Adventure program every day. She would beg me to go! The staff were so kind and told me how much they loved my child, and you can tell they really enjoy playing with the kids. My daughter certainly loved having her face painted every day and getting to make crafts and dress up as different characters!

Also, the dinner staff was excellent. I was in the dining room on deck 5 and had Sanford and Ida as my waiters. They were amazing! Not only were they attentive to my entire family, they went out of their way to accommodate my daughter. They memorized her meal order, and would have it ready for her when she came down to eat. They also played with her, Ida made her flowers and butterflies out of the napkins every night and Sanford even cut up her food and fed it to her! He also brought her multiple desserts every night, all of her favorites. It was just a wonderful experience, and their customer service far exceeded my expectations. Also, Alonso was the bartender assigned to our table. I had a different drink each night and every time it was the best drink I had ever tasted. The strawberry daiquiri was my favorite! Overall, outstanding service!

Our First RCC experience by jsumie

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Have been on several cruises and our first for Royal Caribbean - Adventure of the Seas was a "okay" ship that is getting ready for dry-dock refurbishment - so there were some blemishes but nothing ugly - Cabin was adequate but needs a good cleaning/polishing in dry-dock, heard from others that their suite cabins were smaller than suites on other ships.  Food options was minimal between Main Dinning (food good), Windjammer café (food steam table variety) - Chef's Table was excellent and worth the price with the food and wine you get -- Giovanni's was nice Italian meal, nothing spectacular, but still good - Johnny Rockets cover charge followed by their delicious milk shake and you pay as much as you would on land. Spa had excellent services - relaxation room was not great and lacks dressing rooms, thermal spa.  Service was like the elevators - sometime both were slower than expected.  Service personnel were not quick or especially outgoing (maybe because the pending dry dock?)  Entertainment was good - Comedians were excellent, singers were good, dancers/shows were fair. Quest game show was outrageously funny. Would have expected more midday activities to cover the generations of people. Embark/Disembark - need to be simply patient with both expect delays or you will get frustrated.  Leaving from San Juan during Hurricane season is chancy but worked out for us.

Adventure of the Seas needs update by joedwards

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Poor Food selection at Windjammer Cafe and Grill, Poor quality of  beef,  Poor food presentation in windjammer café and grill, Johnny Rockets should be included! outdated room furniture, poor color schemes in hallways and carpeting of the entire ship.  Better selections in gift shops on board ship. New Towels in bathroom in staterooms. Pool water needs to be refreshed much more often as it is always cloudy due to the amount of people in them. A beach taxi boat is what this Adventure of the Seas is. A cheep way to sample islands.

Royal Carribean's Adventure of the Seas was excellent vacation experience for my family. by romrfish

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The Adventure of the Seas was a lot of fun for my family.  I loved the service we received in the dining rooms.  The food was excellent and the entertainment the boat provided were a lot of fun.  My personal favorite was the 5th floor.  There are snacks and coffee provided 24 hours.  Since the ship is smaller it has a very comfortable feel to it.  The excursions offered were great.  We booked another Royal Carribean trip a year in advance on this trip, that's how much we loved it.

Adventure of the Seas review by asau1

The ship was great but the food in the dining room needs improvement.  Not a lot of choices, taste needs improvement.  Also, the food was  warm many times instead of hot.

Very happy with my online credit that supplied.

going to the pool to hear the live band perform. Loved going to dinner in the dining room our waiter Wilmore was exceptional. He greeted us by our name every night. Made our family laugh and even did little tricks for us. Overall the staff was very polite and attentive to our needs. Every night after dinner room service left animals made out of towels. My family and I 7 Day experience on our first cruise was excellent . Royal Caribbean great cruise

FABULOUS VACATIION - ADVENTURE OF THE SEAS by lisneves7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

We can't say enough good things about our vacation experience on board Royal Caribbean's Vacation of the Seas.  The 7 night Southern Caribbean ports of call were all beautiful with truly amazing beaches.  Our room location on board the ship suited our preferences perfectly.  We loved the activities on board as well as the dining.  The ice skating show should not be missed! The ship is going into dry dock soon for some improvements (we thought it was spectacular already) and we can't wait to sail again on this ship or perhaps one of Royal Caribbean's other fantastic ships.

Conquering The Fear of The Seas! by carolreneau

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

My favorite part of the cruise was being able to tour all areas of the ship, trying different foods and seeing the beauty in each country.

The length of time in each port could be longer for more activities on land.

South Caribbean Cruise by shanitalanae

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

I loved Barbados, Antigua and St Maarteen. Zip lining in Antigua was Great and jet skiing in St Maarten was also great. I wish the ship offered more shows than it did. I also liked the amount of time we were able to have at each port. I didn't feel like I had to rush to get off and be back in a short period of time.

My Souther Caribbean cruise from San Juan by jcobon

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

My favorite part of the cruise was the cruise, we have cruised with RCCL many times before and without question they are one of the best cruise lines in the business. I was a little disappointed that you didn't link the bookings together for my entire party as the first and second night we had problems. while the dinning room attempted to move us from table to table, I am disappointed that the travel agents were our problem

No so great :-( by RaviKB

Food was average. Nothing new in menu, from first day to last day same old menu. Similar show (Broadway songs) everyday, no variety in shows. Norwegian is much better equipped to serve customers and their needs.Sad

Our RC Experience by annjoe

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

My favorite part of the cruise was St. Kitts and St. Maarten.  Both are beautiful islands.  St. Kitts is clean and non commercial.  And we enjoyed the Airplane beach experience on St. Maarten.  Also we enjoyed the 2 formals nights, especially the lobster dinner!!

Improvements - Having previous cruises on RC, we feel the food on the non formal nights lacked good choices.  And the buffet was skimpy.   RC was known as a high class choice of cruises, but we now feel RC is comparable to Carnival.  Another improvement, is the entertainment.  The shows were not as good as in past.  And not enough activities at the pool as in past.

They put the Wow in WOW! by Cruiser14665863

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

This vacation was a wonderful, fun filled time aboard Adventure of the Seas.  Although it is not a new ship, you could not tell from the inside.  From boutiques to ice-cream parlor, you could find it all on the Main Deck.  It was like being in a shopping Mall!  I loved the Whitney Houston tribute.  Stefanie represented very well.  The RCCL singers and dancers did not impress me.  They seemed a little disconnected.  Great comedian topped it off.  We loved the Islands and the 1 day at sea to recoup. I loved the food at the Windjammer but the dining room food because boring after the 3rd night eating the same meal.  As a vegetarian there were not a lot of choices on the dining menu so we had to eat at the buffet first, then went to join the rest of the group and have desert.

The room was ok, but we didn't utilize the balcony because of the amount of rust and decay on it. Kind a felt that our money was wasted here.  The staff tried to compensate but nevertheless we did not feel comfortable being around that rust.  The ship is supposed to go for refurbishing in the next couple of months but I feel that they could have painted before we got there.

One of our group members climbed the rock wall to the top and rang the bell.  That was quite a feat! Overall, It was a wonderful trip and I am already planning the next cruise.  Happy Sailing!

Overall,

Beautiful ship by Cruiser93292047

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Need to deal with the sewer problems on deck. Beautiful ship.Had a great time.  The servers were fantastic. Very friendly. My room was always clean and ready when I get back from tours. I need to have a room where you can go and iron clothes, instead of paying to get it done. Like the other ships.

UPDATES PLEASE! by vivianward

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The ports on this cruise were great!  We loved them all.  The service onboard was great! Dining staff as well as our cabin steward were very attentive.  The problem was that our cabin was out dated which was expected.  Although the couch was so stained that we keep our luggage on it.  The bathroom sink drain was rusty and the toilet stained.  The food quality was not what I am use to on Royal it was more like Carnival.   While I am sure the chefs did their best the flavor was good but meat quality...
