Don't be hesitant to go to the caribbean after all of the hurricanes. There are scars from the weather, but the people and the water are still just as beautiful as ever.
Embarkation

Royal Caribbean did a great job coordinating transportation on arrival to San Juan despite the conditions in the area after hurricane Maria. It was the easiest boarding experience we have ever had.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Food was good, the specialty restaurants are well worth the extra if purchased in a package.

Never had a problem finding a great spot by the pool on port or sea day.

Love the size of the Jr Suite and the extra space on the balcony. We were on the hump which makes for great views in both directions.
Ship tip
Enjoy all the variety of the ship. There are lots of hidden venues and fun spots, check them out. One example - I will be the last one on the FlowRider with my bad knees, but I love to go and watch as folks give it a try. The determination of the kids and the daring of some adults. Enjoy even if you are not a direct participant (Rock Climbing, FlowRider, Mini Golf).
Changed port due to local damage. We went to Martinique, which was wonderful. We did a cruiseline exceursion to see mre of the island. Great into to a very French island.
We have been numerous times to St. Kitts and Reggae Beach. This time we took a cruiseline shore excursion on a catamaran to Nevis. The excursion was great, but we didn't get to see anything of Nevis except a very quick beach stop.
We did a Resort for the Day excursion at the Hilton. It was a great day, easy to get to with Taxi. Food and drinks at the beachside restaurant was great. 3 pools and beach front were lovely. Lots of places in the sun and shade.
We were off the ship much faster than the timeline provided on board. Perhaps this was because RCCL was handling things well and the porters were doing a great job moving luggage. However, once out of the terminal it was chaos. RCCL provided transfers for everyone, but it was not well coordinated. There were insufficient trucks for luggage and buses for transfer. The crowds and lack of organization continued at the airport. Every seat on every flight off the island is full. Everyone got to the airport early and the lines were terrible. It was hot, but people remained patient and understanding of the local issues.
