We are itinerary driven cruisers so we loved the itinerary of this cruise. It offered less cruise days and more new places to see. The ship was old but clean and well taken care of. The Windjammer needs some work - every breakfast and lunch was the same for 10 days....10 days of the same food. And average food at best. We did the 3 days meal plan and enjoyed that. We enjoyed our excursions except for a few hiccups and one really bad experience. All in all a good trip and I would recommend it.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
In general, the food was good. The Windjammer not so much. The food is the same everyday for breakfast and lunch. We tried breakfast in the main dining room but it seemed like Windjammer food presented as plated breakfast. Same runny eggs, dry hash browns (SOOO dry), and sides. I also resented the extra charge for lobster or certain cut of meat. That was disappointing. There should also be an outside dining option. Seems such a waste to have all that beauty and not be able to enjoy it at a meal.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
I feel like in past cruises there was more to do when we were on the ship. We used to do cupcake decorating classes, cheese and wine pairings, wine tasting, etc. I did find a wind tasting but much by accident on a small sign posted by the dining room. But that was all. Seemed all the focus was on shopping. The cruise lines need to remember not everyone is there to shop. I missed the fun classes we wouldn't normally take at home but had the opportunity on the ship to do. Also, miss the last night parties that used to be given.
Entertainment

They save the best entertainment for the bigger ships for sure but not bad. Just corny. Needs updating. Need more shows that aren't about how to shop!
Service and Staff

Aila was our server in the main dining room. She was fabulous. Really enjoyed her.
Ship Quality

For this old of a ship, it was very clean. Rooms need updating.
Cabin / Stateroom

Needs updating but was comfortable
Ship tip
They need more chairs in the pool areas. Its crazy when your on a cruise and can't lounge or even it by a pool.
was the bad excursion booked through the cruise line or independent ? If through the cruise line I hope you contacted them for the yelling and racist remarks by the tour guide.
