Service and staff were very good. I've sailed Holland America many times before. Apparently the company is trying to economize. So many little things now missing(fresh fruit and flowers in Neptune Suites, New York Times, books in the library, smaller meal.portions, etc)

No more Princess Cruise for us by kchung

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grand Princess / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

Their port stops are great if you have not experience the west coast. Don't understand why we would have a day at sea between San Diego & LA. It is only 2 hrs drive. We could be a bit biased, because we were comfortable or having that much fun on this ship. We would not cruise again with Princess. That's for sure.

Using FCC by jhlee1350974

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Serenade of the Seas / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

The first three days felt like we were puttering around, passing the same places over and over. No show on the first night was disappointing. I had fried chicken for dinner that was a weird piece with very little meat on it. We ate lunch at the Windjammer each day and the food was better there than in the MDR. Not many people dress for dinner, even on formal nights which is disappointing. Our table for two had tables about a foot away on either side. Neither of these men wore anything but tshirts and shorts for dinner. I wish there was a higher bar regarding dressing for dinner. Because of our slow start, the week went by too quickly. If we had had the time, we would have stayed onboard for the next cruise which was 14 days through the Panama Canal.

Would do it again by h2omelons

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Serenade of the Seas / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

First cruise on RCI. Would happily go again if the itinerary was right. Impressed by everything except the food. First cruise I've ever been on where I actually lost a few pounds, but we loved the mini golf, balanced pool tables and the piano player at night. The comedian was good, too.

Experienced Cruiser by peteandbarb63

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ruby Princess / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

This was the first time having to use the Medallion app. As senior citizens, we found it confusing due to the conflicts between using it and Princess.com in preparing for cruise. Once on board, loved it.

Love Alaska! by sddavis320

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

I would cruise with Celebrity again but would not book concierge cabin. I would probably just do my own excursion by wandering the ports and discover things for myself.

This was an amazing trip for relaxing and a great bargain at the end of the season. We were able to book Aqua Class for the same price as Ocean View.

Good pacific cruise by

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Discovery Princess / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

The cruise was short with 2 at sea day. Unfortunately the ride from SF to Victoria was extremely choppy and my husband was sick for a day, so need to cancel specialty dining. The programs during the day were limited. The evening shows were excellent and professional. The food, dining service and room staff were great. Shopping could be better. The ship is very clean since it is new.

Pepper in the Salt shaker by dgroediger

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

We paid full price for all of the ships venues to be operational and the fact that the buffet and many bars were closed which affected our cruise greatly made us feel we did not get what we paid for. The green untrained, unorganized crew were unable to help us as they did not know what was going on. We should get a refund for this cruise. We signed up and paid for a cruise visiting Santa Barbara, one of our favorite places and it did not happen. This will be our last cruise as my husband's health prohibits us from cruising and it was very disappointing. The information given from RCL stated that to fly from Vancouver to Seattle we need a negative covid test within 48 hours. The ship did not offer this service and the internet so poor we were forced to do it at the airport which was expensive and time consuming causing us to miss our flight. As it was this information from RCL was also false as the test was not required......

Less than expected by wintercruising

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ruby Princess / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

This was our first Princess cruise and based on the food, it may be our last. The buffet was truly terrible and that is something we’ve enjoyed on other cruise lines very often. There were often very long lines to the buffet, dining room, pool side grill, pizzeria, disembarkation at ports, and the front desk. There were strong smoke smells anywhere near the casino. Having said that, we still had fun, the entertainment was plentiful, beds were extremely comfortable, and there were many bars to choose from with various atmospheres and great bartenders.

Beautiful ship and fabulous cruise by jarmbrus

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Discovery Princess / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

Wish there would have been more masking required with the ship capacity being close to 3000 and the fact there were Covid issues on the previous week. Cleaning in high touch areas, ie. tables around Piazza during breakfast and pre dining times needed to be more frequent. A lot of dirty tables were just used again even though the table was marked as not ready.

So Beautiful and relaxing, The weather kept us from utilizing the outdoor amenities and stopping at the victoria port but, it couldn't be helped. Otherwise, we found the crew to be amazing! so warm and attentive. Our cabin steward Gregoria was the best by b70leigh

Lovely cruise of the west coast best coast by swilliams0618

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ruby Princess / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

This was our first cruise, so we knew nothing. It took about 4 days to know the ship. The service was amazing. We didn't think the food was great, some places were better than other. We will be cruising again but might try another cruise line
