This was our first Princess cruise and based on the food, it may be our last. The buffet was truly terrible and that is something we’ve enjoyed on other cruise lines very often. There were often very long lines to the buffet, dining room, pool side grill, pizzeria, disembarkation at ports, and the front desk. There were strong smoke smells anywhere near the casino. Having said that, we still had fun, the entertainment was plentiful, beds were extremely comfortable, and there were many bars to choose from with various atmospheres and great bartenders.
Embarkation
2 out of 5
Extremely slow and disorganized.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
Buffet was terrible. Main restaurant had decent food but nothing like we’ve come to expect on a cruise.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The options for activities both day and night were very good.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
We did. It enjoy the evening shows in the theater. The comedian was boring and the illusionist performed tricks I’ve seen done by kids in grade school.
Children's Programs
We have no children
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
The staff tried. Wry hard but they were clearly understaffed and service suffered. There were very long lines to get food at noon and sometime waiting for reservations in the main dining room.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
The ship was definitely showing it's age and we rarely saw anyone cleaning any of the public areas. This is probably another instance of being under staffed.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The decor of the cabin was outdated, but storage was plentiful, the bed was extremely comfortable and the size was good.
Ship tip
Avoid the buffet, but the Salty Dog grill and Pizzeria are excellent if the lines aren’t too long.
