Disaster!!! by bobandpat

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Majestic Princess / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

don't have them pick you up at airport--they don't. We paid 105.00 for a taxi with this doozy. 2. Engine failure on majestic common 3. boarding 3 1/2 hours!! 4.Short changed us on koala sanctuary which was the reason we did this cruise. 5. french restaurant is a health hazard--and zero ambience ---it was a open bar area converted to be a french restaurant with ZERO walls or french feel. Majestic prinesss is a big mistake

Only Way to see the Pacific by Niko69

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Noordam / Destination: South Pacific

Never thought I could say I would enjoy a cruise this long, but i did. Once you have processed how long you will be there, you just enjoy and relax. Plan your excursions with the ship, not on your own. Liability if something goes wrong is much easier to manage. Sea days were filled with activities, and there is something for everyone. I do not recommend taking small children, but there is much to do. Booked another long cruise already. Smooth sailing enjoyed snorkeling for the first time in Bora Bora and swam with sharks.

Good Cruise but with ship problems by mmange42

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Zuiderdam / Destination: South Pacific

Great cruise but we were faced by a lot of rain till the last three days when the weather finally improved. Even early in the cruise through Hawaii we started having rain and it never stopped till three days before the end. I did apprecite that the rain which kept us cool. The last Nuku Hiva day was hot so all in all it was great. One risky place on the ship was the gym. The yoga mats were dangerous and would slip and slide on the floor they did disappear after the first few days. The mats left were too thin and you needed at least two on top of each other. The young man in charge was very young and I am not sure he knew how to work with older people. You need a more experienced person there. Also the scale at the gym was very poor. You step on it five times and you get five different weights.

Incredible Adventure by terndon

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Zuiderdam / Destination: South Pacific

This is a great adventure. I would not recommend it for November as the rainy season starts then, we actually saw a lot of rain, adapted to it. Humidity was very high because of the rains. They offer this itinerary in March and that might be a better time.

Don't Do It!!! by gmorans

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Paul Gauguin / Destination: South Pacific - Tahiti

Since PG has been acquired by Ponant, this line has suffered greatly. There is no customer service, other than the crew on board. Be very careful if you make reservations and be sure to get their 'promises' in writing.

Well it was an interesting cruise, ports of call changed daily and missed most through no fault of Royal by Davestep

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: South Pacific

It was a very fluid cruise in port of call going down all the time, I do not blame Royal for this and for those of us that really love cruising, it's the cruise and company of our fellow cruisers we enjoy most.

Surreal French Polynesian Cruise by minnie51

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Regatta / Destination: South Pacific - Tahiti

We found French Polynesia absolutely beautiful with some of the friendliest people on earth. The local cuisine on the islands was so fresh and delicious. Oceania did try to make the best of a potentially bad situation. I commend their guidelines for sanitizing and prevention measures. I wish we could have gone to Bora Bora but the circumstances were understandable.

Beautiful South Pacific Cruise by JulieKeane

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Regatta / Destination: South Pacific - Tahiti

This was a very nice older ship. Not much to do and very little shopping available. Bring whatever you need because you won't find it on this ship. They kept it very clean. Buffet was excellent. Ports were beautiful. Water was very warm. Stays around 85 degrees all year round according to a local. People on the islands were nice. Most speak English. If you go to a market, there usually will be an English interpreter around somewhere.

Not bad could do better by grannylea

Lucky to have been able to cruise around NZ. ( coronavirus). Huge ship, whilst clean and maintained, could do a couple of simple updates to rise to the expectation.

Impressed with Celebrity by tippie57

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Solstice / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

Had we not had an issue with the noise above us, we would have given the cruise 5 stars. The noise never actually woke us up but if we were awake, you weren't getting back to sleep. Clearly last minute bookings get the cabins that no-one else wants. We have actually booked another cruise on the same ship, although after it gets a re-fit at the end of 2021. We have just booked on a lower level with staterooms above and below us.

Dreadful ship by grandmastephy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group

This ship Is tired and old fashioned. There was no evening life on board. All bars deserted by around 11pm. Certainly not the life and soul of the party

A Claytons South Pasific Cruise - by 4wdbob

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: South Pacific

Enjoyed cruise but disappointed in missing all but 1 island. Even alternate Luganville was closed to us. Visited 2 New Zealand ports and Eden Australia instead. Islanders have little defence against the Corona Virus. It is what it is and not worth complaining. Cruise portion was both full on and relaxing. Better luck next time - P and O Adventure Bounty Cruise in Nov.
