Review summary

Hats off to all the staff on board the Majestic Princess, they worked their socks off with a smile on their faces.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
As a As a suite guest we had to que for over an hour to board. There were plenty of counters but not all were being used. Princess seemed to be training people on the job, which slowed embarkation.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
In general the food from the MDR was good, portion sizes we’re definitely smaller than pre-Covid experience. However the wait staff were happy to give you extra if you asked. The speciality restaurants were excellent especially the Crown Grill, Harmony and French Restaurant.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We did as much or as little on the day, there was plenty of varied activities to do.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The Mockingbirds who played in the atrium and who did an Adel set in the Vista Lounge were the highlight of the cruise, excellent throughout and played a wide range of music to suit everyone’s taste. Cameron (singer/guitarist) in Crown Grill bar again would play for hours with a great selection of music. In the main theatre it was a bit hit and miss, the big operatic show was excellent. The Soul night didn’t really work for me as the singers who were good and probably come come musical theatre didn’t really have an “soul”. The comedians just didn’t do it for me. So there was enough quality & variety in the main theatre for a long cruise, but the Mockingbird’s made up for it.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff were the highlight of the cruise they couldn’t do enough right across all departments of the ship.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The Majestic is a beautiful ship, is well maintained and clean throughout.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The Owners cabin was everything you would expect, very spacious and comfortable, however the balcony was narrow and you could only sit comfortably together on leisure beds if they were head to tail.

Ship tip

If starting in LA expect a wait.

Disembarkation
