Trip was great. Thanks to the staff for all their hard work. by shilley

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

Since some of us leave on plans the day of disembarkation, would be nice to open up the internet for passenger to check in to their flight without paying the 16.95.

A birthday flop. Worst experience ever. by walkerdamon06

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Imagination / Destination: Mexico

I truly wish I had chosen something other than taking a Carnival Cruise I feel like it was nothing like it was advertised. Even after I got off the boat I found that they have a hold on my card for almost twice what I owe them and I could not do anything about it for five days so we ended up having to cut our vacation short and come home. Both my birthday and first cruise experience were horrible thanks to Carnival.

Very Nice Crusie by nsmith4982126

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Splendor / Destination: Mexico

We had a great Stateroom Steward by the name of Herbert. We also had a outstanding dinning experience with the waiting team of Anthony, Karl and Maritess. They were outstanding and deserved to be rewarded for their efforts.

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Splendor / Destination: Mexico

Overall the cruise was so much fun!! we truly enjoyed our first cruise together. the menu options in the main dining room were so fun to try out the adventurous items. Never ending buffets were tough on our diets but we couldn't complain! Overall the cruise was so much fun!! we truly enjoyed our first cruise together. the menu options in the main dining room were so fun to try out the adventurous items. Never ending buffets were tough on our diets but we couldn't complain! We are already looking into where our next cruise destination will be with Carnival. Loved the elegant nights as well, it was fun to dress up together and take photos.

Our First Family Cruise by family89094636

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Imagination / Destination: Mexico

We enjoyed the entertainment a lot. The food was good and plentiful. But I felt stuck in a smoky casino. I won't cruise again.

Great entertainers. Good service. by PeteNlisa

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

Entertainment was fun. Food was not perfect but there is always something good to eat. Service was good. Clean boat so you feel comfortable. Ensenada has some nice excursions, but going down town was lame. Otherwise, the ports all have nice areas to visit. The biggest problem with this boat was the amount of hot tubs. 4 tubs for over 2000 people meant they were packed to the brim constantly. Pool undersized as well.

35th Anniversary cruise. Disappointed. Not what we excepted by ne4117

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Splendor / Destination: Mexico

Being this was our 35th Anniversary and we went all out with 10th floor stateroom and drink package. We found the cruise to be some what disappointing for the reasons I have written on in each of the review sections above. I do not like writing negative reviews, however I felt this must be addressed. We understand things happen. However, if there were more communications from the Captain and his crew, in reference to the problem with ship, the rumor mill would not have been so bad. Even the staff had no idea. One staff member said we were moving on the way. This was not accurate. We were still anchored in Los Angeles. Our main concerns were with the way the staff treated us just asking for the receipts due to the issue we had drink package. I actually heard a staff member at the coffee bar complaining about us to her co-worker. When I said I heard you and just give the receipt she finally did. This did not seem to bother her at all. I explained this every time I asked for a drink, no matter whether it was an alcoholic beverage or coffee from the coffee shop. Another issue was being charged taxes on the beverages we had, due to the fact we were stuck in port because of the faulty ship. Then Carnival embarrassed itself by giving out a $50 on board credit, thinking would take care of any complaints. One of the worst issues was skipping the main port of call we wanted to stop at Mazatlan, Mexico. Not much needs to be said. Very disappointed!!! Next was the fact our steward was not up to par, as to referred in the issue with, something as simple as soap. Seemed more concerned about greeting us. We do not believe she told any maintenance personnel about the shower door.

Only Our Honeymoon Was Better by Mirofur

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Splendor / Destination: Mexico

This cruise was a true escape. I never thought of anything else for seven days until it was time to leave. Best vacation since our honeymoon. We were supposed to leave Saturday afternoon but because of mechanical problems we didn't leave until more than 24 hours later. As a result, we never got to see Mazatlan. Very disappointing. What was more disappointing was the way Carnival handled it. They offered us $50 per person plus port charges and taxes totaling $125 for a couple. Considering most couples paid at least $200/day I felt that the cruise line should have deducted one day prorated from everyone's bill for the inconvenience.

This was a reunion of long time friends in a cruise setting (most of us, our first time). It was a great place to bond again and we had a wonderful experience.

Best First Cruise by Cakes88

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

I tried to participate in as many activities on board the ship as possible. That coupled with the two days in Ensenada made the trip very fun. I didn't miss Catalina because the ship's crew made other plans for us to fill the time.

Meh... by jcubsdad

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

Cruise was good, just no frills really. Other than food EVERYTHING costs. No free on board activities anymore. For tired of spending money to do anything interesting. Suggest bring good deal of cash to put on your sail and sign card so nasy cc bill does not show up.

Wonderful staff, and rooms! by wynnd44

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Inspiration / Destination: Mexico

Again, I enjoyed the shows, staff and room, but the food needs to be improved a lot! Prime Rib was extremely thin and the baked potato was not cooked enjoy! The Deli, the sandwiches needed more meat and the grilled cheese sandwich had very little cheese on it.

Cheap lux by judahaustin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Imagination / Destination: Mexico

The cruise overall was amazing. Some of the food at the dinners tasted like plastic. But there were many other amazing meals! The weather sucked on our cruise- but obviously that was nothing we could have changed. Overall- for the money- DO IT!
