Great overall cruise, ports could make a little more friendly with restrooms availability

The cruise was terrific from start to finish even with Covid protocols before getting onboard. The after cruise hotel in Rome was a very big disappointment and an unpleasant experience. First of all was the inability of the staff to check in guests from the ship. Mass confusion and no available rooms made everyone unhappy. I feel since they knew exactly when the ship passengers were arriving a bit of planning would have alleviated a lot of issues. The location of the hotel is a block away from many street sleeping homeless people. My wife and I came across a man defecating on the side walk less than a block from the front door. The staff were inattentive to guests requests. The morning we left , at 615 am, there was no NCL person to make sure the connection was smooth. No attempt by staff to deal with many requests for a simple cup of coffee. The Piram Hotel should be avoided. NCL should do a better job of securing hotels for their cruise guests.

This was out first big ship cruise, having only done a river cruise in the past. The river cruise was awesome, but this cruise was, too. I did not expect my husband to care for the experience and he loved it! We took over 2,000 pictures during the cruise, cannot wait for the prints to arrive next week.

Love trivia but their schedule times on this ship were very inconvenient.

Having difficulty with 200 onboard credit that was in our package. We will see how that works out.

Overall, this cruise was a very nice return to cruising for me after a couple of years of covid related travel limitations. The itinerary was full of interesting ports, which is what I like in a cruise. The crew were cheerful and attentive. My cabin was a comfy oasis to return to after a fun day of touring. The food was quite tasty and the entertainment abundant. I would highly recommend this ship and itinerary!

Would not have taken this cruise if I knew it was so restricted. Norwegian advertised fully vaccinated cruise with freedom to act accordingly. Was not the case in reality.

If I had known that the cruise itinerary was to not visit Santorini and Crete, and be on the sea for 3 full days instead, I would have NEVER booked it. Be prepare to have extra days on the sea if they feel like it and to be limited on the choices of food.

Cruising in MSC was a horrible experience. Not sure how AA will align with such a horrible company. Had problems with billing, paid for picture package that I was never able to get, paid for drink packaged that allowed me to drink only on type of beer, guest service was bad. To top off, we felt like in prison because we were forced to use only their excursions. Talking about COVID control environment but then put 6 busses in a tour in Lisbon. Won't use this line ever again.

We had a wonderful time and made the most of our stops in ports and the ships entertainment! My only disappointments were the cancellation of first port stop and the fact that American Airlines cancelled most of my excursions and all but one I was not notified about. Very poor communication.

So glad to be cruising again. The crew is happy too.

In overall, the cruise was a treat after a 1.5 year long isolation. The choice of this cruise was mainly to burn an expiring voucher but we must say that the experience of post-covid cruising was better than expected. All operations on the ship went well, dining and service experience was excellent. The ship is OK, we might choose another one next time and we did not sign up for any future cruise certificate as we do not see many interesting routes with NCL. NOTE: Do not drink the sparkling wine you'll get as a returning guest - unless you really, really want to have a headache.

Viking did a great job restarting service. A few hiccups occurred, one excursion for wine tasting was AWFUL. Horrible wine choice 2 of three.

One will have noticed that we stayed onboard for the entire Cruise, and ask themselves why Cruise? After 20+ months of not cruising, this was our change to get back on the high seas. Yes, we have previously visited all of the Port destinations, but that did not matter. Being able to be back onboard Royal Caribbean and having the feeling of being home was comfort enough.

We had a great experience, however we feel like we were taking advantage, we had to re-do our internet package and the wifi was not great. We didn’t get reimbursement $300 that was a promotion when we booked the cruise with . Our travel agent was not professional, she never answered her phone. A huge disappointment with . If we ever decide to go on another cruise I’ll definitely book it directly with the cruise line.

We purchased the Vibe to make sure we didn't have to fight for a lounge chair everyday. The Vibe is a private area where only a select number of people are allowed access for lounge chairs and the bartenders know you by name. It was nice, but after paying nearly an additional $500 for this they should have a separate pool for Vibe members. Also, they don't provide food. You can pay additional for food which is kinda crazy since we already paid close to $500 to be up there or you can walk down to the buffet and bring it back up for free. Drinks were great and bar staff very friendly. It didn't make sense you weren't allowed to sit at the bar, but in other places you were. They also had cabanas at the Vibe which seemed to be a waste cause I never saw anyone go in one probably because it was another additional fee. Overall the Vibe is a good thing if you want a little privacy and a little quieter, but it would be way better with it's own pool and it's own food service The ship was only at about 60% because of Covid so with less people that made it nice. The Buffet was staffed with lots of people to serve you which was different, but worked out okay. One complaint was you had to book excursions on the ship and weren't allowed to go off on your own which to me just seemed like an additional money maker for the cruise line. They charged more than booking on your own even with the excursion "discounts" they gave. You had to be with a guide off the ship supposedly for Covid although I don't see how they would make a difference. All in all I will definitely be cruising again before too long. It was a great time so get out there and do it!!!

Overall, this was a great way to return to cruising after a year and a half away. The ship, the destination, the safety protocols all made it a memorable and amazing trip!

The shadow of COVID over this voyage was constant. We were tested five times and protections added a significant burden for everyone. Yet the dedication of staff shone through and both staff and passengers benefited from that camaraderie and commitment to make the best of it all.

Our first Mediterranean cruise. And not our last. Lots of space, with only 12-1500 people onboard.

Viking Ocean cruises are operating smoothly...in spite of COVID19. Malta and the Greek Isles provided a fascinating glimpse into ancient history. The tour guides were exceptional. Highly recommended.
