Review summary

Viking Ocean cruises are operating smoothly...in spite of COVID19. Malta and the Greek Isles provided a fascinating glimpse into ancient history. The tour guides were exceptional. Highly recommended.

The Malta airport handled a large volume fairly well...always room to improve. Viking Sea did a great job of getting us from the airport and to our stateroom!

The Chef's Table and The Restaurant have outstanding food and staff. The World Cafe seemed a little off their game...We preferred The Restaurant.

Onboard Activities

LivNordic Spa treatments and the pool/sauna/snowbox were excellent. Exercise equipment well-maintained.

Entertainment

The on-board classical, guitar and musical singers are excellent. We particularly enjoyed the Beatles Songbook show and the classical duo at the WinterGarten afternoon tea.

The Viking Ocean cruise design is masterful in its all balcony layout. Employing stairs (for those of us who enjoy the exercise) and elevators ensures all travelers are accommodated. The 4th-level Explorer Suites are exceptionally roomy with 3 spaces...living area...sleeping area...bathroom with shower and tub.

Sounds like a dream cruise. As a solo cruiser Viking might be a little out of my price range, but we're living in extraordinary times right now, and who knows, anything is possible 😉
