Not worth the money by captkr7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Viva

Would not book this again as felt for the money was extremely overpriced. We very much enjoyed seeing what we did and most of the staff very friendly. Issues besides overpriced is lack of enough staff to have things run smoothly, and any issues they seemed to not be able to deal with or rectify.

Western Med on Viva by alevine7188

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Viva

I did a 10 night Rome to Lisbon tour. Choose it be because of ports. Met terrific people. Overall great ship.Spa is expensive, but worth it! Indulge food hall is the best eating spot and deck 8 is great in the AM and PM.

The Norwegian Cruise Line stole money from me, and the guest services did not care to solve problems on the ship. by Faculty

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Viva

I will not use this cruise line again. NCL does not respect promotions and it has poor Guest Services. The ship is expensive, crowded and it is a machine to extract money to passengers. The ship has poor layout with no space to seat, good cabins, poor entertainment, activities that are difficult to use. If you want better food, you have to use specialty restaurants.

Fantastic Mediterranean Cruise by jbcamillo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Escape

We had a wonderful time. The ports were beautiful and historical. The restaurants and activities on the ships were exceptional. It was nice to return to our own room after exploring the ports and get dressed for a nice dinner.

Hot and sunny by tschlickbernd

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Anthem of the Seas

Although quite hot most of our journey, we did NOT have to deal with rain. Enjoyed the food and architecture. Would love to spend some more time in Spain. Very friendly and clean. The views are spectacular. Our third-party tours were much better experiences than those previously booked through the cruise line.

Summer Cruise 2024 by jerezfam08

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Oasis of the Seas

We are very pleased with our recent cruise. We went on Oasis of the seas 7/18-7/25 with eight other family members. Some crew members whom we will always remember for going above and beyond were those at the dining hall: Ivanka, Estephan and Calbert. They were accommodating to my family, professional, friendly, and warm-spirited. They would tell jokes or remember our food preferences like extra bread, lemon, and tea. Little things that mean a lot and make you feel appreciated. One day, we missed our dining time because we were at both Florence and Pisa, and the taxi ran late. Calbert got us in an hour later with our waitresses, Ivanka and Estephan. It was our last night there, so it meant the world for us to say goodbye. You can tell from a mile away when someone is content and loves the service they provide. I especially loved the performances from Son del Mar at Boleros! The singers gave off such vibrant energy every night and were truly talented. I truly believe all crew members are deserving and did an exceptional job. Finally, the process for boarding on and off the ship was organized and made me feel safe as I was traveling with my daughters and their cousins. I cannot wait to book another cruise with this company!

The best cruise I have taken to date! by denisseabreu

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Oasis of the Seas

We booked with Alma Gardam and she gave us so many tips on what to pack, not bring, and in general what to expect leading up to the cruise. We were always well informed. She is very professional and truly cares about the customers positive satisfaction. We are very grateful to have her be the one to guide us with this vacation.

Almost great by jfhbmore

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Scarlet Lady

We would definitely travel with Virgin the next time. The app wasn't accessible outside of ship wifi once the cruise commenced, and this was challenging. Fix this and refine the shore "things" and this will be an A+. Food was spectacular.

Family mediterranean vacation by ratherbphotogra

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Celebrity Equinox

We really enjoyed the service and the friendliness of the staff. The ports were great and hiring individual drivers was truly the way to go with the size of our family of eight. That gave us opportunity to modify places and excursions as we needed. But we always seem to run out of time. There was so much to see and do.

Disappointed by Matteo53

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Musica

1- Food in the buffet was horrible (makes Norwegian's tasteless buffet look delicious). The only buffet food that is somewhat acceptable is breakfast. 2- Service in the main restaurant is very slow, it takes about 1.5/2 hours every single night to finish dinner, which meant we did not make it in time for the Euro games and shows. Additionally, the portions are very small and to be satiated you have to order at least 3 portions of what you should. 3- Entertainment is very boring and lousy at the very best, there is no common knowledge on how to keep the passengers entertained with music and parties like on Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, etc. Even Princess does a better job at this. 4- Kids are allowed to be rude and noisy around the ship with no reprimands by parents, staff, or lifeguards. Pools are filled with kids, and adults have no space to swim or relax. There should be a dedicated pool just for kids and one for people at least 18+, just like on other cruise lines. Furthermore, kids below the age of 18 should not be allowed to drink and enter the disco at night. To prevent such thing, a bouncer should be hired just like on other cruise lines. 5- When getting off and on at ports and scanning the card keys, there should be two dedicated lines for people entering and people exiting, not both on the same line. 6- MSC is supposed to be an Italian cruise line however people dress even worse than Americans on Norwegian. A cruise line with such reputation is supposed to enforce the dress code much more. 7- Even though this is an Italian cruise line, the hours at the restaurants and buffet should be geared towards the needs of the foreigners. For example, restaurants for lunch need to be open from 11am at least, and for dinner 6pm at least. Moreover, in the afternoon and later at night it is almost impossible to find something to eat, especially for somebody who is diabetic. 8- The elevators are very small with no air conditioner, which is highly unacceptable especially in the summer when they are crowded. Saying that the ship is small is a very feeble excuse because I have been on many different small ships from other companies that did a wonderful infrastuctural job at designing decent and efficient elevators. 9- In the cabins, the shampoo and body wash have the same ingredients and I know this because there was a list of ingredients attached on the shower wall. Moreover, there is no shower cap, no conditioner and no lotion, unlike on other cruise lines. 10- While I was taking a nap in the afternoon, I received two phone calls in the span of two hours from the same photographer inviting us to take pictures in the studio, even though I told him no the first time. I thought the cruise is supposed to be a relaxing vacation and not an harassment.

Unhealthy! by evc2457

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Seaview

Our trip did not go well. We came home sick with Covid. We (my husband, and another couple) became ill within five days into our cruise. We spent the remaining days sick in our cabin. I saw the doctor onboard and requested a Covid test and was not given one. There needs to be an improvement on sanitation on this ship. It was so evident that money and time are not spent on sanitation (ie. lack of hand sanitizer dispensers, the furniture in cabins, lobbies and restaurants are stained and visibly dirty). It was just unhealthy.

Fantastic Spain/Portugal Cruise by nnreigle

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Equinox

Overall this was a great cruise. I enjoyed it tremendously. I went with my family and I had my own cabin which was nice. I enjoyed watching the ocean from my balcony. There is much to do on the ship though I stayed away from the crowded areas. The pool on sea days was very crowded. I think the spa offerings are too expensive so I did not partake of any of their services. Celebrity is top notch in my opinion. The food is excellent and so is the wait staff. The service overall was excellent and accommodating.

Excellent service by all crew members! by veenasrinath

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Equinox

We had an excellent time. The things we were disappointed in were the fact that the wifi package was so expensive, a drink package had to be purchased even just for soft drinks or non alcoholic beverages (or we had to pay for each drink separately), the fitness classes were not free, and the specialty restuarants were not free. In previous cruises, all drinks were included and specialty restaurants had to be reserved but they were free. Fitness classes were also free for us in other cruise lines. Overall, the entertainment, service, and activities were a lot of fun and we had a wonderful time.

I was completely disappointed by the quality of the food, drinks, service, entertainment and excursion choices. Celebrity has gone downhill. It was the worst cruise ever!!!
