The ship was beautiful and clean and the cabin was large and very attractive with lots of storage space. Fot the price paid for the cruise, we did not expect such a fine ship/

Very disappointing, unhygienic experience by Bellissima80

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Bellissima / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

When: 1 feb to 8 feb from Napoli. Note: basic ticket is hundreds of euros cheaper for Italians (compare prices on their sites). Outdoor: Outdoor pool on deck 15 was dirty with hair and trash. The whole back half of the ship plus chairs were covered in soot, and nobody bothered to clean the deck nor the chairs, and it got worse by the day. I saw chunks of soot the size of coal on the deck where the water glides are. I've seen soot on other cruise ships, but it was always cleaned up immediately. Bars: Half of the deck bar is reserved for smokers. Hardly any quiet places. Sky Lounge was two times inaccessible due to 'private party'. Everything has a 15% charge, so a cocktail of 8 eur plus 15% = EUR 9,20. Quality of the food was low in the included restaurant (you get a table assigned, so you cannot go to the other included restaurants). After a couple of days we decided to only eat in the buffet, which had surprisingly better food. Restaurants: Staff didn't bother to tell people to wash their hands at the chaotic buffet Market Place, so probably only 1 out of 1000 passengers cleaned their hands. No plastic gloves. Also a lot of cooks didn't wear gloves. Running, coughing, sick kids. Many of the hand sanitizer stations were empty/not functioning. I did TUI Cruises, Celestyal, and Costa, and now MSC, but I'll avoid MSC in the future. I couldn't wait to leave the ship, and the biggest souvenir I got was a very severe case of the flu.

Worst cruise of my lifetime! by elsajenkins

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Splendida / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Worst guided tour for Petra tour, dumped us in Petra and disappeared, we didn’t get to see him again until we were back inthe bus. One swimming pool was closed for “woman only” no men allowed. All alcohol were removed from the cabins and no alcohol available, while another group (the ones that boarded in Jeddah) were able to drink, get drunk and we’re escorted to their cabin by security! Kids running down the halls at 11:00 p.m.

Cruise & excursion recommend- do not pre pay by houlihan48

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Smeralda / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The ship, room & food was better than expected. Gluten free products available in Lacolumbina restaurant. Less available in buffet as no dedicated server. It was recommended to pre-pay for excursions- Do not do, wait to pay on board. Still trying to get my refund! On board receptionist did not acknowledge my Precruise payment with Shore Excursion Group Inc.

Great disappointment. Terrible. by amjpalma

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Splendida / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Terrible. I regret taking this cruise. What was supposed to be a vacation turned into a nightmare. I was not aware that this company treated customers according to nationalities. I’m a USA citizen and I have cruised with various companies all over the world. I have never experienced anything like this. I was under the impression that the MSC Splendida was an Italian company ship under a Panamanian flag and as such would comply with International Maritime Laws. I sailed on the MSC Splendida from Genoa, Italy to Sokhna, Egypt - November 14-26, 2022. I was unable to select this itinerary. There was no problem with the excursions in Italy or Greece but the ones in Jordan and Saudi Arabia were a complete disaster. An honest rating would be -***.

Great to be back but lacking at times by DiegodaMonkey

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Staffing in bars and restaurants inadequate even on this small ship. Often only one bartender at each bar causing big waits for a drink order.

Amazing Mediterranean Cruise by kboyd630

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Vision of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

We visited amazing ports and had perfect weather each day. It was definitely a trip to remember and each of our tour guides did a wonderful job. For our peace of mind we booked all of our tours through Royal Caribbean and were very happy that we did.

Awesome European Cruise! by taylhh

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Beyond / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Overall a great experience, great rooms, food and service. Some of the excursions were too crowded and rushed with not enough time for bathroom breaks and free time.

A wonderful holiday by hsidloski

Really enjoyed my first cruise with my daughter. Boat has every amenity imaginable. We didn’t really make use of it because we went on so many excursions but everything we did on the boat was great too!

Nice itinerary but the noise from downstairs the cabin makes it awful by Sergeiokay

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Fascinosa / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Hi, we have been living in cabin 1361 on the first floor for about a week at the moment. And every night about 2a.m. there’s a nourishing noise downstairs. It seems that someone from the staff is preparing meat there cutting it thoroughly. The noise starts at night and ends in the morning when the ship disembarks. We asked 4 times to change the cabin but employees from the reception could offer only balcon for us. It costs 325€/person no matter what day you choose it - the first day of cruise or the last. The price remains the same. It’s the 7th day of the cruise and every day they call us from the reception and ofer to change the cabin for the same price 325€/person. Please, gays, be very careful when choosing the cabin. The cabin 1361 is worst from all of the ship. And no one will help you to change it. Only for your money.

Great Cruise, a port every day, so little time to spend on board by bulkhead

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Previous Norwegian vessels have been the likes of the Jade and Jewel. This was our first of the big liners. We thought it may have been too big, but no. Only issue was the queue at the pool bars as most others did not open until late afternoon. Western Med cruise was ideal, Done the Eastern med. Would do the trip again, hopefully get to Cannes next time - Lol (Too windy for Tenders)

An Incredible Cruise but a Weird Ship by Raevynwood

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

All in all, I thought the cruise was fantastic with some minor issues. They really need to work on cooling the pools down though. That was an unfortunate part of the cruise that put a damper on the trip. Luckily it was so port intensive that we wouldn't have had a whole lot of time in the pool anyway.

Disappointing, adults only pool and cinema screen closed by edelc

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

We're still on board, just on day two, so I can't comment on anything else. In general don't book this ship, until NCL get things open.

Great itinerary, only 1,700 passengers so no queues anywhere.Overall very nice cruise. by royhel

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Edge / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

It was a very good cruise with a brilliant itinerary. I was really pleased to have complimentary shuttle buses as there was always a charge on previous Celebrity cruises. Dining was very good overall but the speciality restaurants are quite expensive. There are no draught beers on board and a very limited choice of bottled beers.

Fantastic Mediterranean Cruise by emmateeryahoocouk

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group

Excellent cruise, went with family & we all throughly enjoyed it, even with different age groups. Understated in a good way, not in your face, relaxing, calm - just how we like it.

Fantastic Mediterranean Cruise by stephanienbraun

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Vision of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Overall, great experience with my two daughters (18 and 13). The ship is smaller and older without the new ships' bells and whistles, but the boat was clean and the staff was fantastic. Portofino was a neat port, but would have loved to done a bigger port (like Florence) that had more history and culture.

Big is not better by CCship100

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Wonder of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The RC costs are way to high, drinks package $88, Wi-Fi $26, specialty dining $59.99. The boat does not have enough space or facilities imo for 7 k people I have cruised quite a few times but this has put me off.
