Overall a great cruise experience. With only one sea day on the itinerary (and somewhat similar ports of call), we found it best to pick a couple of days to stay onboard and enjoy the ship.

Explore more than sightseeing the Fjords. Great food

This itinerary is one of the best itinerary. It would be the best if we are allowed to visit St Petersburgh. We enjoyed most ports (although we missed St Petersburgh) and will not hesitate to revisit these ports again.

Overall the cruise was a success, but the first 2 stops we missed was very disappointing. To get up on the ship was not organized either, it took us 2.5 hour to get to our cabin. Smoking area was terrible for a smoker person( my wife).

The services was excellent. The food was boring and always the same for 7 days. We could feel the cost cutting in restaurant and cabin service. Not acceptable to have to pay for Lobster and Fillet in restaurant.

This was my worst cruise experience ever. I have been on three cruises and I will never use this company again. I tried numerous times to resolve issues and was just told to go talk to someone else.

I highly recommend this trip - the Norwegian Fjords were stunning and well worth seeing. The highlights to me were Geiranger and Olden. Haugensund was OK - good downtown shopping area. Bergen reminded me of any Northern European port city.

This is a great trip and we like everything on the boat. The staff is really nice.

HAL has lost its finer touch, ever since the Carnival Line bought it. Bingo pot is 1/10 of what it used to be. What ever happened to the soups - they were spectacular - now they are pretty much non-existent. Peanuts are stale. Design of the Crow's Nest leaves much to be desired. Events are double booked in the same physical area - too loud to participate in one only. NOTES was cancelled even tho there were eight signed up - no-shows resulted in our not being able to participate. Excursions are more expensive and less interesting. That said, we are closing in on earning five stars so we will probably continue - but we're inclined to explore Celebrity. BTW great Captain - excellent driving in rough seas!

Enjoyed the cruise a lot. Celebrity Apex is a magnificent ship.

Nice cruise to the fjords of Norway. First cruise of the season for this, and some things were a little off, but mostly good.

All in all it was a great cruise and I forgot to mention 5 of the eight members of our group caught the Norovirus that was circulating the ship. It put them out of commission for 24-48 hours.

Everything was amazing, the sites were breath taking. Climbing the hills, mountains is a hike, and works the body endurance but I would do it again.

Love the ship, but service everywhere seemed slow and in-attentive.. BTW, they do no paper, want you to carry your phone and use their Apt. Not good when you want to get away from carrying a phone around.

This was a great way to visit several countries and the tours were well organized and enjoyable. Ship's staff were all top notch.

Travelers and their travel agents should know the Viking rules about Air Plus. Disappointing to learn as we went through processes. Avoid flying United domestic and Lufthansa domestic- too chaotic. Cruise overall a big disappointment due to cancelling the heart of the cruise at Alta and Tromso; substitute ports of call did not measure up. Work with TA ahead of trip to nail down reservations for specialty restaurants. Our advice is to avoid this cruise in winter - the weather is just too much of a factor, as evidenced by the number of sail dates for this cruise having serious problems.

The ship was nice, the crew was great, the food was very good. However, with all the port changes and terrible communications from Viking of I had known this cruise was going to to make those changes I would have either rescheduled or canceled the cruise! We spend a LOT of money on this cruise and didn't get good value for it. One comment about the 2 day delay, while weather is never assured on any cruise, the magnitude of this storm (which we heard from the crew made many passengers sick), was known to the captain and Viking management many days in advance. Weather predictions are well established a week or more before a storm actually hits. This ship should have changed the itinerary early, gone to other ports, like Amsterdam or London and spent 2 days there. Their choice impacted both cruises in a negative way. Poor decisions on managements part.

Enjoyable cruise with some great ports and Northern Lights! Food and entertainment left a little to be desired, but we are glad we took this cruise.

Food was horrible. 2 of our party of 6 had food poisoning on different nights. Their buffet would never pass health inspection. Not many activities to do on the ship if you do not get off in port.
