Review summary

All in all it was a great cruise and I forgot to mention 5 of the eight members of our group caught the Norovirus that was circulating the ship. It put them out of commission for 24-48 hours.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was tasty but I found it a bit repetitive in the main dining room. There was quite a lot of beef served. Would have liked a fish dish each evening, there was no Cod or flounder served.

Entertainment

Loved the nighttime entertainment. We enjoyed the Pianist with Hair, Dancers, Singers and a comedian.

Warnemunde (Berlin), Germany

If you're looking to see Berlin it is a 2.5 hour ride by train to the city. This was a disappointment to me as I didn't want to spend 5 hours on a train for 4 hours in the city. That being said we took a 90 min bus ride to the beautiful sea side town of Rostock.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
We had an early flight home 1055 AM had arranged previous transfers with HAL 3 days before disembarkation was told that we would have to arrange our own transportation because they could no guarantee getting us to the airport in time. So now we had to get our luggage 50lbs + down the elevator to the second floor gangplank through the walk way down an escalator (the elevator at the port was broken) and to the curb to look for a taxi that could accommodate 8 passengers. It was accomplished but it was no easy feat esp. since we were all 67- 76 years of age.
