To Haven or Not to Haven by

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Prima / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Skip the Haven. Not worth the extreme price tag! NCL needs to improve the Haven resturant menus (B/L/D) which remained constant the entire cruise. Unacceptable for the price being paid. Deck hand on the 17th floor in the Haven (Mark) was a gem!

Not a great experience by melissa2blamb

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Horizon / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I will not cruise Carnival again. I will not recommend to my friends and family. That is how my overall experience went. 1. There was a very somber vibe going on with majorly of the staff. 2. The waiters and bar tenders treated you differently once they realize you had the bottomless bubbles pkg. Literally their vibe shifted from a smile to a disappointed or aggravated demeanor & look once you ordered a non-alcoholic beverage. 3. Trying to find lounge chairs was near impossible. Seemed allowed to save space with towels which should've had a time limit on being present and seated.

Surprisingly wonderful and dynamic cruise. by Peter100

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Meraviglia / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I would go again with MSC. The food/service/cleanliness was excellent. COCO-CAY is a disaster there is nothing of interest on it.

Beautiful Ports of Call by margicap

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The ports of call were beautiful. Do get off the ship at every port. Spa was wonderful - massage therapist were top of the line. Dine specialty where possible. Main dining and buffet sub par.

Miserable by Sickpuppy2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Meraviglia / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Worst cruise I have ever taken and there have been several. Miserable experience from start to finish. Okay - I was suckered in by the low ball price but I knew that ... upgraded to a balcony. Cabin was okay - balcony almost big enough for two chairs, but, again, that is to be expected. Would have been nice if the panels under the railing were clean enough to actually see through. Solved the missing towels problem by just stealing them of the cart. Can not believe that with all the purported attention to hygiene per covid, etc., that the facial tissues have been removed - nice little cover plate over the dispenser - and none available for purchase on the ship. Most serious concern is for the mandatory evacuation drill requirement which was repeatedly hammered into us as always ... watch the video, follow the map an the back of your door to check in at your assigned rally point. The only problem was that the directions said to go one way and the crew said to go the other and just couldn't understand why we and many others were confused. In a real event confusion leads to panic and panic leads to casualties. Strong work. So now the food and drink. Totally concur with other negative reviews. Marketplace was typical cafeteria food - sometimes. Eggs and omelets - stand in line - told no omelets - have eggs. Did find a little sausage gravy left, but no biscuits. Etc. etc. Beverage bar ... home of the mystery drink - no labels - not that it really mattered because most were usually empty anyway. Have the drink package, but first you have to find a waiter to get something. Dining room prime rib kinda resembles a minute steak. Second night I ordered a pasta dish that lead to twenty four hours of vomiting ... and I haven't vomited in twenty years. Tried to contact medical but no luck. Second day of illness I was able to go down to the information desk where I was told I could not talk to medical by phone but had to personally go down to the medical station. When I did so I was assured there were no other reports of GI problems and indicated I must be allergic to seafood (in the pasta.) I live on Cape Cod. I eat seafood. Later I personally learned in conversation with other departing passengers of numerous other such incidents. That evening, my wife again went to dining without me and ordered a different dish including pasta ... mistake. She became ill with GI problems of her own. Both of our illnesses continued for the rest of the cruise - never left the ship at the wonderful Ocean Cay. My wife was so ill on arrival back at Port Canaveral that I went back to the desk to request some kind of accommodation. I was advised that we needed to vacate the cabin and either wait in the assigned area or go ashore and wait for our baggage there - the only options - no exceptions despite Me stating it was highly likely my wife would end up vomiting on the furniture. No consideration. So we vacated the cabin as ordered and stopped in the Market Place where my wife experienced a grand mal seizure and promptly vomited on the table. I requested/demanded medical assistance from three different crew members but it never happened. I rendered supportive aid as best I could and my wife recovered sufficiently to get off the ship to our relief. Enough - you get the picture.

Relaxing by romanofam85

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We had a very nice time. I was a little concerned when I went to the bar two days before we were home and they told us they were out of our beer of choice. We finally found a bar that had it but that wasn’t easy.

Awesome Caribbean Cruise by carlocavazos

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ruby Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This cruise was for our 25 year wedding anniversary. The cruise line made our trip very wonderful and even sang to us at dinner time on our anniversary. All of the staff was excellent. One of the best services we have experience in all of our cruises. Still the only compliant I would have is Princess or the Ruby ship needs to have more entertainment during the day for the guest.

The trip was relaxing. The food could have been better. The excursions were not great. by Dadwoods

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Celebrity Beyond / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We really enjoyed the time on the ship. The ship and Capt. Kate was great. She really knows how to run a ship. We have been to the Caribbean many times and maybe we have just seen everything worth seeing.

Rush Hour Cruise by hags12

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Encore / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Very nice ship, lots of good food. Too crowded especially sea days with little area to move. Need to book dining and shows right away or they sell out. Lots of nice little bars. The Waterfront is amazing and dinner out there is breathtaking. The best part of the ship was the Waterfront. The entertainment shows were very well do e(choir of man and Beatles) were amazing.

Great 1st time Cruise. Wonderful Experience by Ricanjessy128

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Overall the cruise was great. It could use a bit more of entertainment. They had several but it was very repetitive. Comedians were great but did the same skit just about every time. Howl and the Moon was AMAZING, by far our favorite and each show was different. Magic show was great and the Main show was always full to capacity even though it was the same show each time. There was not a lot of variety, but overall cruise was pretty good even with it being at full capacity.

Great Caribbean Cruise by obrayak

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ruby Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Met a lot of people and they were mostly our age (45-75). Many had cruised many time and we got a lot of information about other cruises and cruise lines. All recommended Princess as the best. They provide the most and best service and food.

Beautiful ship but overall disappointing trip. by dawnmoore6711

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

The ports are overall disappointing and the service overall is just not as good as I expected. Will go back to using Carnival or Celebrity in the future.
