Fun Relaxing Cruise by danij42

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Mardi Gras

This was one of the best cruises we've done. This was our 2nd time on Mardi Gras and it was better than the last. It's a huge ship, but doesn't feel overwhelming. The staff is the best. There's never a long wait for anything. The food is so good! You can't miss any of the restaurants or the quick service spots. Plan accordingly! We can't wait to sail on the Mardi Gras again!

Wonderful Cruise by adrisal78

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Venezia

I was exceptional because our last cruise was with Royal Caribeann and the ship was almost double the size of the Carnival, let me tell you, they have so many activities and the food is so good that I stop comparing and enjoyed every single day, no space to boredom, I want to give special recognition to MarcQ, he is the cruise director and he is the SOUL of that ship, all I have to say.

Very relaxing Caribbean Cruise by mstammydawkins

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Venezia

I loved this 8 day cruise and can’t wait to try a longer one. I will be scheduling a 10 or 12 day cruise next. This was my 5th cruise and I think I’m becoming a cruise-aholic 😂

Floating Olive Garden by Presticruise

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Venezia

After cruising over 25 times this has been the worst ship for food, service and overall class. There is a complete lack of intimacy and there are now so many upcharges that one feels like they cannot have the full experience. There is absolutely nothing about this ship that is “Italian-style”. In fact, as an Italian, I am even insulted that they would try to market this in such a fashion. Simple things like tablecloths in the dining room and robes in the cabin are gone. Instead they have been replaced with menu upcharges and drug-sniffing dogs. Ultimately, if you are looking for a cruise experience of long ago, stay far away from this ship.

First time cruiser by NYFirstTimer

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Venezia

Did not know what to expect as a first timer. I was pleasantly surprised. My only complaint is that the food could have been a little hotter at some times during our dinners. Other than that we had a great time and we got value for what we paid. Thumb up.

Freedom of the Seas Cruise July 21-28 by Boywond289

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Freedom of the Seas

Been on many Royal cruises. This one was great for our group to spend time together. Ship is old and you see and feel it. Prices are outrageous and food and service aren't what they used to be. Can cruise on MSC for half the prices and get better service and ports and food is much better. Royal appears to no longer be focused on the customer, only revenue and profit. Value for the money spent is poor.

Overall we had a really good time. It would have been nice to have a 70's and 80's night of dancing in the disco.

This was a Wonderful Caribbean Cruise. The people were friendly and hospitable, and we were able to learn about the culture and eat typical food from the surrounding areas. Although the scenery was like our home in Costa Rica, it was still beautiful. by Lovemylife1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Celebration

Overall, My wife and I had a wonderful anniversary and birthday celebration. It was exactly what we had thought it would be from previous cruises. Their was a variety of food options, and things to do, so take advantage of them. Plan everything out before you leave home, and print out all your itinerary just to be sure. Have a Wonderful Time, and Send Gratitude to God for all the beauty that He has made for each of us to see. God Bless You All.

Adequate for the price. Perfect for younger families. by FamilyMRAJ

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Magic

If you like Carnival take this cruise. I prefer Royal Caribbean. Did this cruise as a trial for how my two teens would like the experience. Upfront cost of RCC is more than Carnival but you get more inclusive no cost options than on Carnival so the cost ends up about the same and maybe less on RCC.

Great Itinerary, HUGE Ship, Expect Some Crowds by JBSki

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Wonder of the Seas

It's a big ship and there are a LOT of people. They say bigger is better, but I think there is a sweet spot for cruises. We really enjoyed ourselves, but realize that we prefer less people, even if that means sacrificing some amenities. If you have been on ships with less capacity in the past, this will be a big difference for you so have that expectation going in. The service is second to none on Royal/Celebrity. I've yet to have one bad experience with ANY worker on either line. They are all extremely helpful and they seem willing to go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your time.

Couldn't have been better! by dbsuggs0818

Overall the cruise was wonderful. The dinner reservation process could use some attention however. Discrepancies exist in the availability of the dining choices.

Great cruise, but a few flaws by rmc75

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Venezia

Overall this was a great cruise was amazing. We had a great time and left with some great memories. The ship was gorgeous, but had some flaws. The islands were amazing!! This was my first Carnival cruise and I liked the entertainment a lot more than the other cruise line I usually cruise. Definitely planning on another cruise through Carnival in the future.
