Review summary

This was one of the best cruises we've done. This was our 2nd time on Mardi Gras and it was better than the last. It's a huge ship, but doesn't feel overwhelming. The staff is the best. There's never a long wait for anything. The food is so good! You can't miss any of the restaurants or the quick service spots. Plan accordingly! We can't wait to sail on the Mardi Gras again!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
There are so many food options and they're all awesome! My only issue is a lot of the quick service places, like guy's burgers, Shaq's chicken, and the taco bar, all close early. I wish those places stayed open later so there are other food options for dinner besides the dining rooms and restaurants.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
They ship does a great job at making sure the slides, pools, and other activities are not overly crowded. You would have never guessed there were thousands of guests! The fitness center was not crowded either.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The performers on this ship are by far the best! I'm usually not really into the shows, but I watched some of the shows twice, they were so good!

Children's Programs

My children did not participate in the children's programs

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
All the staff were wonderful. Our room steward was the best! I'm very upset that Carnival does not give the option for turn down service in the evening anymore. They only clean your room in the morning and that's it. If we went night swimming or showered at night, we always had to ask for fresh towels for the following morning because we needed them before they came in the morning to clean the room.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Always very clean. Very easy to navigate. I loved how each section of the ship had its own theme.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Perfect cabin for our family of 4. We don't spend much time in the cabin during the day. But it was perfect at night and very comfy.

Ship tip

Make sure you plan your meals so you can try every place to eat. There are so many places and they are all amazing! You don't want to miss one place!
