I loved this 8 day cruise and can’t wait to try a longer one. I will be scheduling a 10 or 12 day cruise next. This was my 5th cruise and I think I’m becoming a cruise-aholic 😂
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was quick and smooth. We boarded much earlier than expected.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
This was my second cruise on Venezia and the food was horrible this time. Buffet food was cold, dining rooms were nice but didn’t have that feeling of personal service, the steakhouse was rushed service and the servers didn’t really interact other than to take our orders and remove our dishes.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There was so much to do at the same time. I loved not having a bored moment. The trivia’s, dance parties, game shows, comedians, everything was excellent.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The DJs, comedians, and other entertainers were amazing. They have so much energy and seem to really enjoy what they’re doing.
Children's Programs
No children with me to partake on these activities
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
My room steward Marciano was amazing. He serviced the room beautifully and made sure we had ice everyday. He talked to us when we saw him and had a very pleasant personality throughout the cruise.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The entire ship is beautiful. We walked the entire ship and loved how things were spread out. Our cabin was on the Terrazza deck which was always peaceful and never loud or crowded. The Serenity deck was nice as well, just a bit difficult to find a lounge chair. The ship was very clean and maintained throughout the cruise.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
I loved my cabin and its location. Waking up to see the ocean from the back of the ship was more rewarding than I expected. My cabin was always clean because I am an organized person and because my room steward Marciano was always on top of things.
Ship tip
The Seafood Shack in the very rear of the Lido deck omelettes. I wasn’t aware of this on my first Venezia cruise.
Even though it’s located in a busy area, this port is beautiful and offers a variety of activities prior to embarking. I’d advise people to go a a day or two ahead of their cruise to enjoy the activities around the port.
I loved the pool area and entertainment right at the port. We watched zip line activity from the pool as they zipped right above our heads. My advice, pay for the umbrella because there is no shade in this location.
This was my second time at this port and it still was amazing. We enjoyed a meal at the bar to the right of the ship which also had another beach area that most people must not have been aware of. Margaritaville was the party spot. We ventured over to that pool and enjoyed the DJ. There is also a very nice NASA display.
Beautiful beach! Prepay for the clamshells because they won’t have any the day you arrive as there are only 70! I paid for the umbrella when I arrived for $25 that is charged to your onboard account. Your drink package cannot be used at this port so be prepared to pay ridiculous prices for your drinks. Otherwise, the food was cold as usual and we ate as soon as the buffet opened. Hotdogs, burgers, chicken, potato salad, Cesar and garden salad, fresh fruit and lemonade were your options.
I love the digital disembarkation method. We chose what time we’d like to leave the ship, set or bags out the night before and received a notification on our app when it was time to head to the gangway. We were off the ship by 9:30 a.m. Those that chose Express Disembarkation were being called to the gangway as early as 7:30-8:00 a.m.
Suggestion: when choosing a longer cruise are you looking for;
More days of non stop fun?
Time to have a rest between frenetic days?
Chance to visit new and interesting destinations?
Relaxing 5 star hotel on water, with great accommodation & food, with some entertainment thrown in.
Extra time to chill!
In my opinion, on longer cruises it is even more important to decide what your, and your family priorities are.
