This was a Wonderful Caribbean Cruise. The people were friendly and hospitable, and we were able to learn about the culture and eat typical food from the surrounding areas. Although the scenery was like our home in Costa Rica, it was still beautiful.

Review summary

Overall, My wife and I had a wonderful anniversary and birthday celebration. It was exactly what we had thought it would be from previous cruises. Their was a variety of food options, and things to do, so take advantage of them. Plan everything out before you leave home, and print out all your itinerary just to be sure. Have a Wonderful Time, and Send Gratitude to God for all the beauty that He has made for each of us to see. God Bless You All.

Embarkation

It was very smooth and welcoming. Kind of hectic with everyone trying to find their cabins, and it was scary when our luggage did not show up until almost 8 pm, but they had a lot of luggage to accomodate.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was fine. I did not expect gourmet from the lounge, but variety. Myrtle was a wealth of knowledge and just a beautiful person with a very uplifting smile every time we saw her. What a treasure you have there. God Bless Her. We fully recommend the Chefs Table. Wonderful Experience.

Onboard Activities

Although the hot tubs and pools were always full, what impressed me the most, was that they were drained and cleaned every night. Would have been nice to have a jacuzzi though, and be able to use them later until 10 pm. But did enjoy them.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The performers and acrobats were absolutely wonderful. Do not miss the shows. They are world class. There was way to much vulgar language in the comedy show that we went to that really turned us off of it. We walked out after 10 min. But the rest of the shows are fantastic.

Service and Staff

Myrtle in the Lido Deck was a beautiful, Wonderful young lady. She always had a beautiful smile on her face, and remembered our names from day one. Our room steward was the same. A great young man with a wonderful smile and always wanting to please. I apologize but I lost the card with his name, but He was a treasure. Our room was 15449. Great People. Please keep them on.

Ship Quality

Yes, once you learned your way around the ship, it was very clean always, and the layout was understandable.

Cabin / Stateroom

The room was very adequate for my wife and I. We did not have any problem with the comfort size. Our room steward seemed like he was always on hand, and had a wonderful demeaner about him. Each day was a new kind of animal folded from towels that my lovely wife truly enjoyed.

Ship tip

Learn to slow down. This is not an American Culture. You need to slow down to enjoy all there is to offer. Do not get the wifi package. I saw way to many people looking at their phone instead of the beauty that God has provided for us.

Ports of call

Grand Turk Island

Beautiful beaches and people. They bent over backwards to take care of you. Very clean, but to little time to enjoy properly

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

The people where wonderful. This area truly reminded us of our home in Costa Rica. They left us with a guide at the beach after showing us around, and was just wonderful to relax and enjoy.

Nassau, Bahamas

The place we wanted to see the most, was the most disappointing. The Discover Nassau tour was very informative, but the beaches and port area was just dirty and trash everywhere. My wife and I went for a 2 mile walk along the beach, and ended up picking up trash and bottles everywhere. The locals came along and told us thank you for cleaning their beaches. Be carful of broken glass on the beaches please.

Disembarkation

Very hectic. We were scheduled to disembark at 9:30 am, to meet our shuttle, but there was no schedule. Everyone was just in a long line scrambling to get out to make their flights. Needs to be more organized. If you want to avoid it, Be down at deck 6 by 7 am and get out first.
