Experience with excursions was not good. should have intervened on our behalf especially since they knew pre-cruise that there was a problem.

The cruise was excellent, service impeccable and food outstanding. The views were beautiful and beyond description the photos almost look fake. The overall experience was a once in a lifetime. by sja226

Loved the cruise, would do it again if I could. I have nothing but praise for the ship, crew, food, excursions, and overall experience.

Somewhat disappointed by richardadler6

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seabourn Odyssey

We notice a gradual decline in the "luxurious" cruising feel that we first experienced while sailing with Seabourn in 2017 to Antarctica. Many positives still exist: all inclusive price, small ship with fewer people, excellent expedition crew and like-minded cruisers who appreciate the bespoke experience. The extra touches, however, seem to have dwindled. Like with all cruise ships post-COVID corners are being cut and some of us have noticed.

Really nice cruise and saw different parts of Alaska than we had seen before. Plus, we very m enjoyed the days at sea -- relaxing and gorgeous scenery.

Good value, but some drawbacks (boring evening shows, lousy and slow food) by SisiCheng

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle

Pros: - Great value - Nice way to see Alaska - Convenient embarkation port (San Francisco) - On-board band was awesome! - Amazing onboard crew who were friendly and diligent. Cons: - Terrible food. Slow lines and food quality was low. - Many evening shows were boring fillers. There were full dancing/singing show for only 3 out of the 11 nights.

Somewhat Okay Alaskan Cruise by Rysox

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ovation of the Seas

While our cruise had many....many issues, we still tried to make the most of it. I really wish Royal Caribbean did more with there customer service to correct these issues. We look forward to planning an Alaskan Cruise in the future, maybe even with a different cruise line.

Great cruise all things considered! by Snoopy4ever

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ovation of the Seas

There were several changes made to this cruise but I enjoyed going to Victoria instead of Sitka in the end. I had been to Sitka before and hadn't been to Victoria. I loved having 8 days instead of 7, even though we kind of lost out on most of the extra day.

Buy 1 disappointing cruise…get another free :-( by jtorhope

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ruby Princess

End of season cruise, and it felt like many of the staff were focused on getting this cruise ended. The food seemed the same — like it was being done half-heartedly. None of that would have mattered so much if our suite had been habitable, as it wasn’t. Final points: Internet was marginal, and there were virtually no electrical outlets to plug into to charge devices. Even in our suite, there were only two outlets. Would have helped to have packed an extension cord with multiple additional outlets. In-suite TV is a joke, and even in the casino they could not show NFL or NCAA football. On the big screen over the pool they did so, but one had to dress warmly. They also did so in one of the restaurants inside, sometimes. Hard to understand why cruise ships remain decades behind when it comes to all matters online.

Lack Luster Cruise with Little Wildlife Spotted and Overpriced Tours by AScriabin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Ruby Princess

Photographs are a farce and Princess uses "blue screen" to take shots of you in "Alaska"; Princess also takes pictures of folks with their "bear" or holding a tube with the port name on it. Very disappointing as I thought if you order premier package you would be able to set-up an appointment to have a professional photographer take pictures of you in one of the ports.

Alaska on September by cfmateus

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ruby Princess

We enjoyed the ship and itinerary very much. Early September is still a very good time to visit Alaska. We didn't get much rain, besides forecasts of 90% chance, and shore excursions were done under some overcast/scattered clouds. First and last days were very sunny (California Coast...) and pool was perfect.

Perfect time by kcroxson

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seabourn Odyssey

Only bad thing which was not the fault of the crew is the ferry which was to take us to the White Pass Summit Scenic Railway in Skagway tour blocked our tender so he could not pull up to the dock and with the tide going out we got stuck. the ferry took off without around 14 of us so we missed the whole tour and ended up back on the boat 50min later.
