Review summary

While our cruise had many....many issues, we still tried to make the most of it. I really wish Royal Caribbean did more with there customer service to correct these issues. We look forward to planning an Alaskan Cruise in the future, maybe even with a different cruise line.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Embarkation was a DISATSTER!!!! Ship didn't arrive to port until 2pm so they delayed our boarding until 6pm. No one stuck to their updated boarding times. 4,000+ people trying to get onto the ship at once, meanwhile those that had early boarding got completely screwed. Also luggage at 1am was nooot cool.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We only ate in the specialty restaurants. It was our first time with Coastal Kitchen and it was an amazing experience. The service and food was amazing. We did Jamie's Italian one night and also had an amazing experience.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Rating this as good only because we tried to go to the hot tubs in the Solarium twice. The first time the hot tubs were brown, supposedly they have been this way all day? The second time the Solarium was closed for some reason even though the cruise compass showed it as open. We were disappointed we didn't get to experience that.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Entertainment is always a great stable on Royal Caribbean ships. Carbent show in 270 was really cool to see after they fixed the technical difficulties. The other shows in the royal theater were also really well done.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service and staff were all friendly and really made the experience.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship is well designed and clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
First time staying in a grand suite and I think we picked the perfect ship for it. This room was extremely comfortable, the size was perfect, and our room attendant did an amazing job keeping in clean for us :)

Ship tip

If you sail in a suite (Grand or higher), go to the suite lounge. Free drinks in the lounge from 5pm-8pm every night plus the lounge has amazing views of the aft. Also a quite place to play card games, just sit, or hangout in.

Disembarkation

Disembarkation was a quick 5 minute process. We walked off at 8am with no lines, our bags were waiting for us in the terminal at 8:05am.
