Alaska - Inside Passage Cruise Reviews

Activities on the boat and at the ports were closed. The shuttles to all but one port were unexpected with long wait times due to mechanical issues. Some of the ports were dreary and run down (Sitka and Ketchikan). Our stateroom attendant was nice enough but never smiled, sort of creepy. NCL didn’t enforce the “no smoking” rules around the ship and it was suuuuper gross having to go through the smoke filled casino to get to the Manhattan Room. The casino smoking room does NOT keep the smoke contained. The lack of TVs in public areas with deck maps and navigation maps was a bummer. This was our 1st NCL (only ever RCCL for me previously so expectations were high). We liked our balcony room and appreciated a few huge standout workers (like Veronica at Sugarcane who remembered every customers name, everyday!). Unfortunately this was my husbands 1st cruise and he said his overall experience on the Bliss will be his last cruise experience. One shot for that 1st impression and I blew it with NCL.

It is just ok. Not enough variety on food selection.

Needed more time in Juneau, Sitka & Ketchikan. Need a designated handicap elevator!!!

A stop in Victoria at 8:00 pm is worthless. If a foreign port is necessary please stop at a time and for a length of time when we can enjoy the port.

With this being my first cruise in the Haven, I will probably never go back to non Haven guest. However, with the amount of money I spent being in the Haven, I can not justify doing it again. It was an amazing experience and I’m thankful I did it, but I probably would not come back. That is not because of the staff (they were amazing!) it’s mostly because 1. Pricing 2. Location of my room to haven lobby 3. Everything outside of the haven was meh at best 4. Not as many activities 5. Excursions were just okay and not worth the price With all of those reasons, I can’t say it’s worth it.

My main concern was they didn't stop in Juneau but still had to pay port fees. I asked about that a guest services and they gave me a card to email NCL The email address on the card was no good!!

I would recommend Alaska but on a different cruise line other than Norweign.

Will never travel with Norwegion again, nothing for kids and they nickel and dime you at every turn. Like a lot of folks spend a ton of cash to be on the ship and it is mind boggling that they still try and milk you dry at every turn and i get it's a business but WOW.

We couldn't have asked for a better cruise. It was nice having longer times in ports! The weather was unbelievable for the time of year we visited. The crew were all attentive and pleasant. The cabin was great. The food was presented well and plentiful. Our cabin was cold for most of the trip as there was a problem with the heating/ air conditioning system. They eventually got it fixed. Love the smaller ships. Found the entertainment to be less than on past NCL cruises we've taken. Embarkation and disembarkation were flawless. All in all, loved our cruise. We are already looking forward to another cruise with NCL. Possibly the same cruise next year with a back to back to the Panama Canal.

Overall this was a quiet and relaxing time. If you're looking for top notch entertainment and activities I would recommend a larger ship. Alaska was beautiful and well worth the experience.

Great cruise to see much of Alaska----would also suggest a land/rental car drive in interior Alaska to get a full Alaska experience.

Last cruise of the season but it felt like it was a training cruise for the crew, many gave poor directions to get around the ship early on. Been on several cruise lines and several Norwegian ships - the Sun is the worst I've been on

We were very fortunate as the weather was BEAUTIFUL every single day in every port! A wonderful and memorable experience!

If I decide to cruise again, I will choose another cruise line and do a little more research. I hated being over-charged and nickel and dime'd for so many things. The TV system needs improvement. The map app in the room is from the mid-90s! Don't offer all you can drink and then sell water for $6.50 a liter. Don't offer as an itinerary a four minute ride to the top of a hill for $50 per person. Don't charge extra for mediocre premium food. Not really an overview, just things I wasn't happy with.

I enjoyed many things about the cruise, but not enough I would recommend it to others. Having to be bussed into the town centers was not good. We waited about an hour to get on a bus at one of the stops and had very limited time in that town. Service was excellent, food was very good.

It was a beautiful trip. So much to see and do the excursions were all well done.

first cruise experience. wish we could have enjoyed specialty restaurants at lunch. I learned a lot and would like to cruise again, at least I have some knowledge for the next cruise. It was a good time, can't say I got very much rest but it was enjoyable. Had fun and it was a great experience. Was grateful I did not experience seasickness, kind of enjoyed the sway. who knew!

The cruise was awesome, Overall a wonderful cruise. The open bar was nice, you could get two drinks at one time. No limit just fun. They had the same menu at most of the bars which was kind of lame compared to carnival every bar has a different menu. The main dining room took quite a bit of time to get your food but good nice people. The ship was clean, easy to navigate and amazing ports. If you are going to Alaska, I strongly recommend to get a balcony. So worth the views in the morning.

This was my first cruise and it was a very good experience. My only issues were with the weather disrupting shore excursions (which is disappointing, but not something the cruise line can do anything about), and one of the shore excursions was briefer than promised.
