Great cruise of a lifetime! by dym1581

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Radiance of the Seas

One of our best cruises! Royal Caribbean is the best of the many lines we’ve been on. Highly recommend this line and itinerary.

Excellent Alaska cruise by keww

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Summit

I enjoyed the cruise very much as this is the first time I have sailed with the Celebrity cruise line. I wanted to experience the different activities on board as well as trying the food options. A naturalist was on board (Brett Nixon) and gave excellent lectures on whales, eagles and bears. I would definitely consider Celebrity on my next cruise purchase.

Relaxing experience by beckycwheeler

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Radiance of the Seas

Great experience. If you’re looking low key and relaxing, this is your cruise. Not a lot of bells and whistles as you have on bigger ships, but it has everything adults need.

Spectacular…With Exceptions by NetteVaca

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Radiance of the Seas

The trip (views of mountains, whale sightings, seal, sea otters, bears) breath taking. The ship itself is very antiquated. No outlets, including phone chargers by bed. Only 2 outlets on dresser. The bunk (Pullman) beds need to be clearly advertised on website. Had to change rooms as there was no way either of roommates could climb up onto bed. The food was very mediocre and bland. Also charges for room service. Room service used to be a courtesy, we would just tip the deliverer. Food (scaled-down buffet) used to also be available late hours (like 1-2 a.m.) but no longer. I’m thinking everything is scaled down and costs added to make up for lost revenue during the COVID years.

Freezing Alaska cruise by maureencoffin

The inside of a ship should be warm not having to wear a winter coat all the time.

My cruise was a wonderful vacation. I enjoyed all the beauty that Alaska has to offer. I enjoyed meeting new people and I loved the great service and delicious food onboard. I only wish it had rained a little less!

First time in Alaska by sandycchristian

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Radiance of the Seas

Out of the six cruises we have taken on other cruiselines, it was our least favorite. The first week of May in Alaska is just too cold. The issues with the electrical outlets really affected our trip. We thought the crew staff were amazing.

Beautiful Views by jamiehubbard

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

The Alaskan cruise is a must do adventure. If I had to book it again, we would not have cruised with RC. I am very used to DCL. RC really needs to work on their customer service. Lots of confusion. We were the first cruise out of Seward and you could tell. I will definitely cruise Alaska again, but on a different cruise line.

Wonderful servers in evening dining and good food by RobertTeng

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Radiance of the Seas

Some process could be better e.g., attempt to put traveling families together, not make the customer go through hell to get seapass, some staff could be friendlier and more courteous to make the experience top notched but overall the trip was memorable once we got our blood pressure down from the unnecessary hassles.

Beautiful scenery by rasberry

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Radiance of the Seas

Overall the cruise was good except for the weather was not great cool and rainy but, that's the chance you take sailing in May it could go either way sunny and warn or cool and rainy.

Alaska Cruise of a Life time! by Italiandancer57

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Radiance of the Seas

A must do cruise! If you can, book the return Southbound to Vancouver. I spoke to others that were doing this and if I have another opportunity to do this, I would. This was an amazing experience and Alaska is so huge you only see a tip of it in 7 days.

Beautiful Alaskan Cruise by smeller

I loved the scenery and destinations of the Alaska cruise. A little disappointed that Skagway was removed from our ports but I don't think it was RC fault.

Wonderful Alaskan Cruise by jennoverton38

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Solstice

This was our first cruise, we had a lovely time and have already discussed booking another cruise. This ship was well run and it seems that the crew have great respect for their shipmates and captain. Cruise Director, Eddy Jenkins made this cruise for us! He is so witty and personable. I would have liked to be able to have a chat with him but he is so busy with all of his duties.
