We took a taxi into the town and the Empress Hotel. We had some poutine and beer flights at an Irish pub. I wish we had more time at this spot

The ship was delayed en route to the port by bad weather so the ship got in late and pretty much everything was closed. Oh well, if weather delays are going to upset you maybe you should limit yourself to River cruises.

More of a city and I loved it! Didn't do much due to short amount of time there. But the shopping areas were great, more like a true US downtown area with lots of 'regular' shopping retail stores, Chinatown, restaurants/bars, etc. Wish we could have spent more time there, I could have visited the Gardens.

We woke up late, and did not get off the boat. A bit of research showed that the drive all the way across town would take too long, and it would be expensive getting to the fun part of town. The cruise ship docks in an area that is not next to anything of interest. So, wake up early if you want to see Victoria.

Love Victoria we took a local tour buss around and he was very knowledgeable ablot the town wish we would have gotten to spend more time there! Favorite port
