This port has more to offer than time allows. The ship wasn't scheduled to be in port until 6 pm, with a departure of 11:30 pm. More time at this port would have been great.

We did the zodiac whale watch. We saw one humpback whale but no orcas. Believe me, the zodiac boat is not good for the back. It was a thrill but the rough seas made for pounding on the back.

What a beautiful city! I had no idea what a gem of a city Victoria would be. So clean. Flower gardens everywhere. See the Empress Hotel!

We didn't get off the ship in Victoria. Our friends did and said the gardens are beautiful. We were only in port from 7pm to 11. We would have liked a longer day here.

I took the Princess Butchart Gardens excursion.  The bus driver provided entertaining history, descriptions and commentary of Victoria to and from the gardens.  We had two hours to explore the gardens. We arrived before 10 a.m. and towards the end of our two hours the gardens were getting quite crowded.   I recommend this tour if you have never been to the gardens
