The Public Market is a kitschy place to see but it's basically a big grocery store that sells flowers and has a few restaurants. Head over to the pop museum near the Space needle if you are into Star Trek. They have an exhibit that you can actually view and video yourself being beamed into 3 different scenes. That was awesome! Visiting the Chihuly glass garden (also near the space needle) is well worth it. Be prepared to spend a fortune in parking in Seattle. Most places were anywhere from $4.50 to $8.00 per hr. Or more. They have meter people constantly reading the meters in parking lots so be aware.....if you only put in 1 hrs worth and go over that you might find yourself ticketed.

We are local to Washington and Seattle is a favorite city. The disembark process on the ship was a breeze. We opted for an early disembark time due to an early flight home to eastern Washington. If you head down stairs at 7 am you can be one of the first off the ship. Super easy. We grabbed a cab for the flat rate of $40 and all was smooth and simple. We carried our own bags off the ship.

We were glad to come home to a sunny day! However, the port traffic is still as atrocius as before. Police try to keep the traffic moving in the pick-up area, but it was obvious that congestion is going to be a steady problem.

Seattle was nice we stayed there a bit before and after the cruise on the ruby princess. Ask for Brooks from your hotel he owns a car service that will take you from the airport to your hotel and from the hotel to the pier... Also 2 tasty restaurtnts are Mcminnemins in queen Anne and THE ROCK wood fired pizza. They are both next to each other on Roy.
