Only real complaint was cleanliness of cabin. All in all it’s the best cruise we have been on in a long time. Also now one of my favorite boats.
Embarkation

Lines were long and didn’t make sense. People at the end of the line would get moved up ahead of others.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Lido and Dining room food was excellent. Service was not as good as in the past. Had to ask for bread and drink refills. The steakhouse food was phenomenal.
Onboard Activities

Didn’t use the hot tubs. Fitness center was very clean.
Entertainment

All musicians were fabulous on this cruise. Best I’ve heard in a long time! Shows were good but geared towards the older generation.
Children's Programs
No children
Service and Staff

Waiters weren’t as attentive in dining room. Room steward was worst we have had. Had to call for soap and towels. Also under our bed wasn’t cleaned when we arrived. Paper and dirty bandaids underneath the bed and a lot of dust in the room.
Ship Quality

Loved loved the ship layout and design. The themes in every room were amazing. Staff was constantly cleaning the ship throughout our stay. Common areas were very well maintained….just wish our room was.
Cabin / Stateroom

Size of room and balcony was great. Bathroom is outdated but spacious.
Stayed in our room and on our balcony the whole day to view the fjord and glacier. Definitely recommend a private balcony for an Alaska cruise. The captain takes the boat right up to the glacier to view and get pictures. Ended up going to Endicott fjord instead of Tracy Arm due to ice.
Rented a vehicle but couldn’t drive into Yukon as planned due to 72 hour Covid test requirements. Bummer. We drove to Gold Rush Park and just had a pleasant day sightseeing.
Did a city tour and also went to Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center. Bought separate tour where you canoe up to glacier and waterfall. Would highly recommend.
Unfortunately it rained the whole day. Took a free bus to two of the totem parks. Then bought an excursion for Crab Adventure and Crab Feast at George Inlet Lodge.
Seemed to be some confusion on where early disembark would take place and where everyone should meet. They put us in the theater but then forgot to tell us all that we could get off. They never announced. Very quick and easy to get off the boat though.
Glad you still managed to have a great cruise. Very unusual to have such poor service from the room steward. Obviously not a regular, most stewards go out of their way to make sure you're satisfied with their service since they can earn pretty nice tips.
No Dramamine for me, I like the motion of the ocean 😀
