We stayed 2 days ahead of cruise date. 2 days isnt enough time to go to much, but it is enough to explore Bourbon street and the surrounding area. (We stayed on the corner of Canal and Bourbon streets)

Went to the French Quarter after our cruise. Do not just go to Bourbon St. There is so much more in the surrounding areas. Bourbon St is where all the tourist go. If you go a couple block away, there is still the bars and shops, but not the crowds.

Been here twice just to visit, now leaving from here. Love this city! So much to do. It really isn't all that kid friendly if you don't want your children to be exposed to the kinds of things associated with NOLA. (Alcohol, sexuality, dark arts, etc.) But our kids have been exposed to most of that already and understand what is and isn't appropriate for them. We did a swamp tour and a carriage ride before embarking. I could spend a week here and it wouldn't be enough. And, of course, the food is phenomenal! Eat breakfast at Two Chicks!

We loved Paradise Beach in Cozemul it was awesome. We snorkled played on the bouncers, laid out on the beautiful beach and pool. It was only $3 and $18 for bouncers boards snorkeling chairs and umbrella's. A wonderful day. Progresso was awesome shopping, the beach, the people was an amazing experience. Can't wait to go back.
