We surprised friends that were on this cruise. They did not know we would be there. That was the best part of the week -seeing their faces when we walked around the corner. We will probably not cruise again. My wife and I just don't think it is our thing. Although we enjoyed it a great deal, we decided that we would rather go to a resort instead.

The comedian's PG rated shows were much better than the R and X rated shows.
Went to the French Quarter after our cruise. Do not just go to Bourbon St. There is so much more in the surrounding areas. Bourbon St is where all the tourist go. If you go a couple block away, there is still the bars and shops, but not the crowds.
Did not do an excursion. Just walked around the shops. There is a pool with a swim up bar that I wished we had known about. We ate at Faro's and were not impressed with the food or the service.
Booked a zip line/cave tubing excursion. The ride was about an hour each way. The zip lining was first. There are many steps to get to the platforms and we were winded on a couple of them. After the zip line, the walk to the entry point on the river was about 40 minutes. It was a peaceful float down river, through the cave. We then had about a 10 minute walk back to the shuttle van. This was the best excursion we did.
Always love Cozumel. We went to Playa Tortuga beach resort. It was a $12 taxi ride. If you can ride with another couple, you can save half that cost. There are 2 different packages to choose from when you get there. For $25 each, you get use of chairs(few had umbrellas), snorkel equipment, and a very limited lunch menu. For $60 each, you get open kitchen and bar.
