Had a blast on the Carnival Dream. However, I had to continuously ask for straws for my drinks. Is Carnival cutting back?

Review summary

I would sail on the Dream again however, my friend got bit by a bug and we also heard that another person onboard the ship was bitten by a "Mexican Tick" and had to go to medical services. I do not know if this was a bed bug, tick or what but my friend said that the bite was painful and left a swollen, inflamed area on the body.

If it was bed bugs, there would be multiple bites.

What ports did you visit? Were they bitten on the ship or while off the ship in port? I would think if there were bed bugs there would be more than a single bite

That doesn’t sound like a bed bug.
