We just love Costa Rica. And if you go there be sure to check out the small sales bazaar right at the port gate. The vendors are very friendly and courteous! No high pressure sales tactics and most of the goods that were for sale were made by the locals. Very impressed with that.

We were able to dock but we decided not to go out on a tour. The town of Limon has very little to see and even less food and shopping.

We took the countryside/ train and canal tour. The canal tour was nice but the Train ride was AWFUL. It took us thru the poorest area of squatters in the slums and thats not what we were paying a tour to show us. Also the train is not airconditioned and it got really hot. It would have been better to see the other side of Costa Rica where the nicer areas were.
