The locks were awesome, would have rather just stayed on the ship and go thru the remaining locks. We did do a monkey island tour but the bus ride and boat ride was 1.5 hr each way. Rated it a 3 because the monkeys were awesome, jumped on our boat and came up close to us, apparently are use to the daily tours and they get fed.

The 8 hour tour to Panama City was very enjoyabe and extremely informative. Our tour guide was exceptional. A little more walking and stairs than was expected, however.

The port city itself is not great. The ride from Colon to Panama City was unexpectedly interesting. I am not a big boat guy but the canal was more interesting than I anticipated. And Panama City is quite cosmopolitan.

Simply a place to re-board the ship. Very poor city with terrible traffic congestion
