We did the Xunantunich Ruins excursion was very neat and a wonderful history lesson. You take a 2 hour bus ride to the Ruins. Our tour guide Dee was fantastic and told us all about the area, the people, the industry and culture. We learned a lot from her and she was very good at her job. We hiked the Ruins and as we were coming down he tallest ruin it poured. They did a great job, drove us to lunch and a little shopping and they had to hurry back to catch the boat back. It is an all day event but it was worth it. We enjoyed it.

If you've never snorkeled, this is the place to do it. Everyone was so friendly and helpful! The water is very warm and clear. The guides go at your pace and provide all kinds of help and support if you are nervous about the water.

We did the Carnival excursion to Rendezvous Caye (snorkeling wonders of the barrier reef) which would have been incredible if the weather was nice. Unfortunately we hit a bad day and it was 65 degrees and crazy windy with rain coming down sideways. Wasn't a problem while we were snorkeling because the water was warm but everyone was freezing once we got out. We were supposed to have a couple more hours to swim and enjoy the beach but they just took us back to the ship early because of the weather so it was a bummer. The snorkeling was incredible though, quite possibly the best hour of my life. Bucket list checked off for sure. Couple days later we had a letter in our little mailbox saying carnival had given us a full refund for the excursion which I thought was a classy move. Wasn't their fault the weather was bad.

We wanted to do the cave tubing but decided not to because it was so far away. Instead we did Goffs Caye. It was really small but absolutely beautiful!! It was definitely a piece of paradise. The food was pretty good. We saw a lot of different things snorkeling and the rum punch was amazing. We booked through shore excursioneer.

Somehow we lost a waterproof camera in Belize on the zip line or cave tubing area. If anyone found one or can pass this on it would be great. The camera isn't worth much, but we really want our pictures back! We had an amazing time and loved every bit of it. Thanks Lynn Rees. Jljdme_rees@yahoo.com

Cave tubing! Incredible. ANyone can do this, minimal walking. The tour guide either pulls, pushes or paddles your group through the massive, well lit caves. No issues for those with claustrophobia.

We signed up for the rum tour, but our tender was delayed do to someone having a heart attack and needing transportation to the island, so we missed our tour. We didn't mind as it was far more important for the gentlemen to get the care he needed. We ended up at the wet lizard for a refreshing cold beer.
