Had a great time and enjoyed every minute of our time on the Miracle. Food was good and everyone on board was having a good time. On formal night the Capt actually took a minute to talk to us and ask if we were enjoying our cruise. This I have found is unusual as most times they shake you hand and move on quickly. Class act on his part appreciated by this passenger and his spouse. The entertainment was what is expected and mostly done well. The port stops are never long enough (ask the people that missed the boat in (Cozumel) but we had a good time in each. Weather was good and the ship rode very well. Not much movement and very stable. I would take this trip again but there are just to many other island and places to visit. Bon voyage!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Carnival embarkation team has it down. Went very quickly with no issues.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Main dinning room was hit of miss. Twice my spouses main course was not very tasty and she did not finish them. Mine were always good but not spectacular. Drinks were a little pricey as expected but done well. Great martini at the atrium bar. And the sushi at the sushi station was excellent but limited choice.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Pools are always crowded and a place to lie in the sun is at a premium. The adults only Serenity pool area is the place if you don't have kids. Now my gripe. People that come up at 0600 and place towels on 6 or 7 lounges or cabanas to hold space for friends/family and then show up at 8, 9 or 10. Carnival needs to do more to discourage this practice.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Went to one show. Dancing and singing were very good but the volume was waaaayyyy to loud. The ships music entertainment was good but lacked variety. Some jazz or blues/rock would have been nice. Attended one of the comedy shows. I have been to funnier funerals.
And casino management. Add a baccarat table. Trust me on this.

Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff is great. Hardest working bunch off folks I have seen in awhile. The dinning room wait staff are great as well as our room steward. The food prep, bus people and waiters do a great job. Someone is always cleaning and we very much appreciated their hard work.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Ship was clean and laid out nicely. Did not care for the decor in the main dinning room and could not get a handle on the theme of the interior decorating of the Miracle. The folks on the cleaning staff worked very hard throughout the journey.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Beds were very comfy and the stateroom was very roomy. Bath was a good size and the room steward kept the ice bucket full and the room clean. Thanks Oka!
Ship tip
Order the water package and a bottle of liqure for your stateroom and skip the drink package.
We did a our to Tulum through cruises.com. Enjoyed the tour and learning about the history of the Mayans. But would stay on the island next time. 10 min taxi ride to the ferry dock. 45min ferry ride. 10 min walk to the vans. 1 Hour ride to Tulum. And then back did not really leave enough time to explore the ruins or do any shopping. It was really rushed and exhausting.
Walked to a dive shop a short walk from the tender dock and went snorkeling in the morning and after lunch went shopping. Kinda pricey compared to Mexico and Belize but found some things we could not live without including rum. Really enjoyed the day.
Thank you for the review. Going on the miracle in 9 days looking forward to it. You know you can get a carnival employee to move ther personal belongings. They are not allowed to hold chairs and stuff. And if they are gone more than 20 minutes. I do have the stuff moved.
Glad to hear you had a great time on the Miracle! I really like to read positive experiences. We'll be on the Miracle next month. I know its an older boat and the decor looks weird, but we are going to have an excellent family trip anyway. I think you find what you look for. Thanks for finding the good and passing it on to us. Gives our outlook an uplift. ⛴️
