Super tourist trap and the beaches aren't great. It's worth staying on the ship

Was hoping it to be nicer, long drive on a man made road to get to shore and then a busy town with shops

We did an excursion through the ship and went snorkeling in Cenotes. It was kind of cool, but the snorkeling was kind of a waste. Had a great Mayan lunch though.

we did not do an excursion - we should have. Just roaming around did not work out well. Vendors bombarded us constantly, walked with us begging us to buy something or eat at their restaurant. they never took no for an answer

Port was not as clean and inviting as Cozumel. The excursion was amazing but we had to travel 2 hours to get there, which left short amount of time to actual activities at the excursion.
