We did a beach excursion to Silcer beach. It was awesome! Not crowded, food quality was very fresh, drink were cold and pretty stout. We had a guide with us the whole day to make sure we were having a good time. They even brought drinks out into the water when we were lounging on a water trampoline. We actually liked this excursion better than cozemel at Mr. Sancho!

We just went into the town. Extremely sketchy and dirty. We decided to go back to the boat. A lot of people go to the center area we did, and then book their excursion. It is cheaper that way, the only problem is that if you don't book with carnival and you wind up late they don't wait for you. I know for a fact we left some people behind because they did that. It was to sketchy to go anywhere that wasn't prior approved as safe.

Shout out to the excursion, Mi Casa es su Casa! We took maybe a 30 min.ride by air conditioned charter bus to Lucillias home. Our tour guide was Super Mario and he was so entertaining and knows a lot of history of the area! Only one bus is allowed so it's not overly crowded. She opens her home to you and makes you feel like family! The beach was clean with plenty of chairs and she also has two swimming pools with palm trees all around. The food was awesome! She even gives a class on making authentic guacamole. Massages are offered on site also! We were very happy with this excursion and would definitely go again!

I understand that a lot of people don't like Progreso but I loved it. Did an excursion to see some ruins and a cenote and ate at a great Mexican restaurant. I loved learning about the history and seeing how the people live there.

Took a free shuttle into town and hit a nice (decent) public beach, Lunch at a local restaurant offering excellent food and drink at nice prices, visited a nice town market. Very nice town, people, and very authentic.

Shopping was great! Best prices on souvenirs are here! We also sat in a bar for awhile right at the entrance of the port. FREE Wi-Fi and cheap drinks! The food was good, but pricey.
