Overall, our experience was wonderful.. lots of eating, resting, drinking (and repeating) Delightful employees always make it enjoyable and an amazing variety in foods, snacks and spirits. I always feel so at home in my cabin :) I hope to cruise carnival again! ~Kathy

Excellent. The food variety was perfect, our waitstaff was enchanting and very attentive, as well as personable and fun. Huge props to Made' (Late Paris) and his coworkers :)

Onboard Activities

I did a lot more slacking and relaxing this cruise.. so I didn't participate in many activities. I can tell you the pool was cool and refreshing, the casino was lively, and every employee I encountered was a joy. Our drink package was a hit and I will be opting for that again.

Entertainment

Very good. Didn't take in many stage shows, but the little piano bar was such fun and we really enjoyed the acoustic music of Justin Tyme and especially "Liz and Lucas" throughout the cruise.

Service and Staff

I can never heap enough praise on the carnival employees/staff. They are so professional and attentive. We were especially impressed with Made' who did janitorial duties (mornings) in the smoking area on level 10 near the pool. He went out of his way on several occasions to make sure we were comfortable and tended to. We were also very impressed with our Steward by the same name (Made') who cared for us in our stateroom (8952) Made' was professional, personable and helpful. Reygan, our favorite bartender at the casino (smoking) bar was a delight and someone I looked forward to seeing each time :) Overall, we adore all of the employees we encountered, from the pizza cook, to the photographers and everyone in between.

Now that I have almost learned the layout, I can appreciate it. I love all of the amenities offered (snack bars, smoking areas..etc..). It did take us awhile to find the Paris dining room.. but with practice, it was just fine by the 3rd evening... :) lol

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was perfect. The beds were so comfy that we ALMOST spent too much time in them. :) Cabin was clean and cozy.. plenty enough room for two, considering we were on a ship.In fact, the storage and closet space was amazing. We also enjoyed having lots of excursion and ship info on my TV.

Ship tip

The drink package is a wonderful deal.. I would suggest it to everyone who drinks any alcoholic beverages..

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

This terminal was very nice. The covered parking was greatly appreciated as compared to my cruise out of Galveston where I had to park in the sun for several days.. I found the New Orleans terminal was also easy to navigate and was organized well.

Cozumel, Mexico

Always love Cozumel. We found a private resort and paid for a day pass to enjoy the beach, then went into town to have a great margarita at Wet Wendys. It would be so nice if a cruise line could allow for at least ONE overnight port of call so we don't have to always keep an eye on the time as the afternoon approaches :(

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

Took a free shuttle into town and hit a nice (decent) public beach, Lunch at a local restaurant offering excellent food and drink at nice prices, visited a nice town market. Very nice town, people, and very authentic.
