Mazatlan is a very beautiful city with an interesting history. We took The Best of Mazatlan tour so a comfortable air-conditioned coach took us to the old part of the city through the newer parts, making frequent stops at a good mix of scenic spots and some cheesy tourist attractions. Our favorite part of the excursion is the non-airconditioned taxi ride along the Malecon as we are returning to the port.

No excursion. Took the taxi downtown for some shopping. We should have gone to the Golden Row (or whatever they called it) instead. The shops were all typical border stores with people pulling you inside. Best thing we found was a pan flute musician. He was outside across from the church. Very nice.

Good tour. Saw unexpected divers off a platform/tower in the bay. Tour guides very good.

The mini speedboat tour is just 'eh'. Tour guide only spoke to the men in our group, ignored the ladies. El Cid was all-inclusive but low-quality food and drinks. Beach full of vendors.

Yuck! Dirty, overpriced shopping and unsafe in many tourist areas I went. I returned to the ship very early.

Too many people begging for our money...felt too pressured to buy anything..couldn't wait to get back on the ship.
