When we got off the ship we headed to the taxis everybody stands out there with signs so we approached one and said we wanted to go shopping get some tacos and have some margaritas and buy some tequila . We were told that it’ll be $150 for the day for a van we said no we just want to get dropped off and then will find a taxi back. We were told OK and it would be $20 so the whole way there the guy tried to sell us the Vin for the day. When we pulled up to the area that he was going to drop us off we noticed there was no tourists and there was no shops, and one restaurant that was taste testing tequila. At this point we realized he was doing that so we would pay him more to take us somewhere else. With no other taxis around we had no choice but to pay him $20 to take us back to the ship after we told him how displeased we were with him

Mazatlan was great, we rented a jet-ski and swam in the ocean. Coming back from the beach we had a cab driver drive us around the city showing us the sites. Later we rented an open jeep and drove around the city and enjoyed it a lot.

We took the Tequila, Saddles and Sandals tour. Wouldn't recommend this tour. The tequila factory wasn't operational. Our tour guide just showed us around and then everyone was given shots of tequila at 10 am. The little town we went to looked like it hadn't made saddles or sandals for at least 20 years but there was a guy standing there acting like he made them while the tour guide loaded us on and off the bus at our different stops under the watchful eye of the military and police. It was definitely a weird tour.
