At Mazatlan we took a nautical heritage land and sea excursion. The excursion was very nice and we took a motorized catamaran to the local Islands. It was very pretty and we saw lots of sea lions and seabirds. The land portion of the tour took us to the Golden Zone which was a nice stop in Mazatlan. Mazatlan as a port is very run down. Could do better at other cruise ports.

Port is ok we did an excursion on a hop on and off double decker bus. The first stop driving in town to old mazatlan they have an old church was nice to tour. Went from there to a place to shop, eat, or go to the beach. After that the last stop is a place where locals cliff dive for tips. Was ok but wouldn’t do it again.

To be fair, we never left the “fake village, and didn’t book any excursions. There really wasn’t much that my young kiddos would enjoy. They stayed on the ship, and we went shopping.
