We liked Mazatlan better than Puerto although there are the Time Share people and the same obnoxious vendors here too!

This is the port where we felt most hounded by people trying to sell things we didn't want - especially timeshares!

only took a fishing tour and went 7 hrs and did not catch a thing,the boat was very primitive,and there were no state-of -the-art equipment,EX: fish finder ect ect.a big waste of money

You should get a tour of the city. There is a lot to see. Got to the Golden Zone beaches.

Visited friends and had lunch at their resort, then just wandered. Marvelous Talavera shopping here. Cathedral of the Immaculate Concepcion was beautiful.

I enjoyed walking around the downtown. It is run down but not as bad as Cabo. You can get some good deals there. My family and I shopped and then we went to the Hotel El Cid and enjoyed there pool and tropical drinks. You can use most hotel facilities as long as you buy drinks or food.
