Review summary
This ship needs to be refurbished...there are many rooms that are not in good condition plus the ship is drab. We had sailed on the sister ship the Grand and loved it. This is why we selected the Golden, however we were disappointed to say the least. Our room was mildewed, and the furniture was worn and stained We payed for a Mini Suite and got a handicapped room with twins that will not convert to King. We had looked forward to a bath tub and this room only has a shower. We did get our room changed but had to get a balcony instead of the mini suite we were looking forward to. The food was o.k but not great and the staff was not friendly.Ports of call
Pros: Embarkation and debarkation...very smooth and efficient. Nice entertainment, plenty to do.
Cons: Food is o.k. at best, Staff indifferent, Ship needs a remodel. Our room was D733 and was supposed to be a Mini Suite however it was a narrow, mildewed, twin bed Handicap room with out a bath. The staff need some tips on good customer service, and should be friendlier.
Recommends Golden Princess? No.
