Only embarked & disembarked here. Left at 23:30 on the first night so sailed out in darkness, came back in the day. Beautiful to see the city.

venice no longer is populated by venetians; they can't afford to live there. it has become basically a huge museum or amusement park for tourists. many of the shops are no longer operated or owned by italians; today there is a large population of chinese who have bought businesses in the city. if you're looking for the real italy, go somewhere else. if you're looking for a city that is worth saving for its museum and art and architectural values, it is at least that.

We embarked on Venice. We were able to arrive a couple of days prior to the cruise. We really enjoyed our time in Venice.

Very busy destination must visit early to avoid the massive crowds. Nonetheless less a great place.
