I love to go to the beach on vacation and this was really the only port that had a nice beach (Playa Major or something like that) that was a cheap taxi ride away from the port. It was a beautiful, sunny day and a perfect way to spend our last day just lolling on the free public beach with free citywide Wifi!

I loved this port. Two of us went cliff jumping and had the best time of the cruise. This excursion was not offered by the ship so we brought our passports and a credit card so we could get to the next port in case we didn't make it back to the ship in time. Our wives went on the hop on hop off tour bus, bought separately from the ship. They enjoyed their day also.

Did a cruise ship trip, booked before we went. Caves of Drac with a stop in Porto Cristo, this had a lovely beach and market on, and stopped at a Pearl factory which was just enough time to look at the jewellery on offer and make a purchase. Driving through Mallorca was lovely and we said we’d love to go back again.

We took a trip on the beautiful old train from Palma up to Soller. It was so incredible and beautiful countryside. Soller is also a pretty town with shopping and sites.

Great stop. It is a fairly easy walk(less than four miles) to town from the dock, or there are shuttles and taxis(very expensive) available as well. The town is absolutely beautiful, and the people are extremely nice. Quite a few of our fellow cruisers took excursions and just raved about them, but we did not take an excursion at this port. We just walked around, talked to people, checked out a beach and had a great lunch(I wish I could remember the name of the restaurant.) We hope to get back there one of these days.

Palma de Mallorca,is a wonderful port. The ship Docks approx 6km away from the town,a nice walk for those with legs, along a paved walkway, affronted by sea and Marina areas. Most cruiselines offer shuttles if there is a charge, check to see if Taxis are not cost effective. The City of Palma is a delight,it houses a lovely Cathedral, Castle and a quaint town.If your shore time is sufficient, consider a visit to Valdermosa,Diamond or even Soller. If not on an organized tour,Soller can be accessed via the' Limon Express',an electric street car type train, via the Orange, Lemon and Pine groves over the mountains down to the other side of the Island,Enjoy.

Port is a bit of a trek from the city, so it was a short taxi ride and wasn't too expensive. Saw the beautiful cathedral and walked around the old city. It was beautiful and I would definitely come back for a trip here to see more of this city and the island itself.
