Go south along the coast and there is much to see. Naples did not impress me.

trains were on strike, staff didn't know or care, thus we were forced to hire a private taxi. Naples drivers are wild, very disconcerting - a definate 'do not do'

Pompeii ? It must see , I made some reservation before my cruise from some travel agency. I think, it is difficult to go on your owen.

Seriously consider taking the excursion to Pompei. We wish we had. Or, consider taking the excursion to Pompei and the other, less-known city. Can't remember the name!
